Aren't the Avatar sequels going to cost a billion together too? Though those are some 3 films, i doubt Infinity War will be this expensive, sounds like a very exagerated number.

Mr Cameron said the films will cost less than 200 million dollars each because he will be shooting back to back. That comes to around 600 million dollars for 3 films.

1 billion dollars for 2 films is insane.

I'm pretty sure it's not true. I followed those movies closely and 500 sounds much more accurate.

We don't know what he's powers are yet in the MCU but as Thanos has been called "the most powerful being in the universe" in GOTG we can assume he is super powerful, however Vision has an infinity stones who's power is according to Thor "unparalleled in it's destructive capability" therefore I think Vision could put up a good fight, still lose but put up a good fight, Hulk would also be a good fight but would not be as competitive as Vision as the Hulkbuster beat the Hulk and Vision can use the mind stone to mess with Thanos's Mind.

Protected yes, Immune no (it is an infinity stone after all).

Just because Vision has possession of an infinity stone doesn't mean he has the ability to effectively utilize its power to its full potential. Moreover he doesn't have the innate mental powers and sufficient augmentation (via the power stone) to IMO affect a mind as resolute as Thanos'.

Well we have seen very little of Vision as yet so we will have to see how he's powers evolve over time.

Is it true that Marvel starts filming next year? If so, is anyone a little worried that Captain Marvel will only have a very small part if she shows up at all? I mean, Marvel hasn't even started on a script for the character, just some jibberish about how powerful she is.

Do they start shooting next year? Guardians 2 starts early next year and then Thor 2 at the same studios and then Avengers:IF so it sounds like its a little ways off yet...I would guess its still about a year away...

I can see them spending $500 million on both films, but I seriously doubt Disney would spend that much on each film...

On the contrary. In the comics, Thanos was able to overpower moon dragon (a very powerful telepath) who was in possession of the mind gem. So yes, he was able to muster successful defense against the mind gem. It's kind of his thing dude. His mind is a force

As you know, Marvel is set to release two Avengers movies within a year of each other. To save both time and money, Marvel is filming both IW movies back to back for 9 months, starting in the fall/winter next year. This is probably why Marvel already has a budget for those films when they don't come out for another 3 and 4 years. It's probably also the reason why Captain Marvel is set to be cast next year, despite the fact that her movie isn't coming out until 2019.

I wonder how they're going to pull it off. If we consider that these movies are filmed at least a year before their release date and filming lasts somewhere between 4-5 months, it's likely to be one busy schedule. This is what I think Marvel's filming schedule would look like for 2016-2018:

2016: GOTG3, Thor: Ragnarok, and Infinity War
2017: Infinity War, Black Panther, and Ant-Man and Wasp
2018: Captain Marvel and Inhumans

GOTG starts filming next February, so Marvel may be trying to film earlier for future movies to get ahead of the game.
