Question: What brought up this discussion of Blonsky?

Answer:

I want to talk about something very interesting. After watching a clip from "The Consultant" short it looks like
Nick Fury wants to release Emil Blonsky (The Abomination) with permission from Gen. Ross, and Agent Sitwell and Agent Coulson are trying to come up with a way to make sure Ross denies it so they make a plan to send Tony Stark in order to annoy the General so he denies. From that it looks like Fury wants The Abomination on The Avengers. Thats an interesting way to go about the scene with Ross/Stark and its the perfect way to make sense of what went down after that scene.

Not sure how I feel about this really.

I feel it's harmless and helps add to the mythos of the cinematic universe. Loved the first teaser. I'm glad they're not forgetting about 'The Incredible Hulk.'

Second one just looks fun.

noticed a little "blip" on Fury's Computer screen...not to mention the screen would be backword to HIM

hehe helps when you're running the clip back and forth on a highress. :D

Do you have a link for the high res? just had to completely wipe my laptop and start again, so i'm missing a lot of trailers and the like

um let me look DOC, right now I only have the Thor dvd commercial (I'm at the library) lol

yahoo has it on their own site but keep vid will allow a larger size to download

I noticed that too when I was going frame by frame. You can see the continents of the world on that map. My question is, where exactly is that blip? Is that India?

Well this definitely puts a new and unexpected twist on things, to say the least.

I would have NEVER imagined that Fury would want to recruit Blonsky for the group, especially considering on what he did in 'TIH'. Though this would definitely go with the "morally shade of gray" that people have said that Fury's character can be about at times. Plus, the Hulk's bout with Blonsky in New York City, proved that the Hulk is physically superior to him, and Bruce Banner has a more stable mind than Blonsky.

Be that as it may, why would Fury need the General's permission? I mean, isn't Fury's position more higher than General Ross's?

Though this does also put Coulson in a new shade of light as well.lol I never thought that he'd be the type of person to disobey Fury's orders.

The whole scene makes zero sense to me on all levels.

So people will go see Cap for it. Good marketing move, actually. The only way to get a decent non-bootleg look at The Avengers currently is seeing Cap right now in theaters.

No, Fury wants Ross to release Blonsky in order for him to join The Avengers. Sitwell and Coulson dont want Blonsky in the team so they conspire against Fury by sending Stark in to annoy Ross to the core so when Stark tells him they want Blonsky released he would give him a big no. Pretty simple way of explaining that scene simply. Im down with it.

Gotcha, just wasn't sure about why they were annoying Ross. Thought you were saying they wanted blonsky so they sent stark to annoy which made no sense.

I was thinking about why they did not release the full trailer but thinking about it, it really was not a teaser or any kind of trailer. It was just another post-credit scene. It was edited like a teaser trailer but ultimately it wasn't and thats probably why it is not being released, I mean there is not even a "PREVIEW HAS BEEN APPROVED" thing at the begining making it NOT a trailer.

Nothing too interesting, but do you guys remember when I said a guy from Facebook said he'd be playing a [BLACKOUT]mercenary that Captain America takes down at an airport[/BLACKOUT]? Well, he just updated his FB status.

Marvel never said we couldn't upload pics out of uniform! Myself and my fellow[BLACKOUT] S.H.I.E.L.D. Mercenary[/BLACKOUT] from the Avengers movie, Brian Gonzo getting our pump on at Liberty Gym!

So if Cap is taking down a SHIELD Mercenary, what could that mean?

Whoa!!!!

Iron Man - $140M
Iron Man 2 - $200M
Incredible Hulk - $150M

http://collider.com/avengers-assembly-criticism-iron-man-thor-captain-america/106632/ very sweet & interesting editorial about Marvel Cinematic Universe from some folks at Collider.com

That's a great article, thanks.
It says a lot of things that I personally thought over the years, but it isn't neccesarily a bad thing.
Is very much like Lost: casual viewers may not understand a lot of things, but the people that actually KNOWS, FOLLOWS, and UNDERSTANDS how the universe of a particular fiction story works, the experience is much more rewarding. And, to be honest, I prefer the rewarding experience of finding easter eggs and knowing that the people that made those movies, are actually putting an extra effort of placing everything together to make something that hasn't been attempted before.
