Another piece of good news, he'll do great.

Silvestri composed some of the best scores in cinema. I mean, Back To The Future, come on! It still gives me goosebumps.

The guy is obviously talented. Let's just hope he gets the best creativity vibes this following months, that's all.

Slvestri's good. He's one of the greats. But I thought his Cap score was pretty weak.

Still, glad to hear he's on Avengers. I think he'll bring his A-game.

Also super-psyched for his score, glad he got the gig.

I actually preferred Thor's score over Cap's.

To me it's hard to choose between those two. They're definitely the best scores of the series. I'd put IM1's score just a smidge behind but it was good also. TIH's & IM2's scores were serviceable but not too much more than that.

I think I'd rank the scores for personal preference IM2<TIH<Thor<IM<Cap

I like 'em all; IM's and Cap's are most memorable to me, mostly because of how well each bit of music served its scene. IM2's just doesn't do it for me for some reason. There are some definite good ones in there, like "Ivan's Metamorphosis," "Sledgehammer," and "New Element," but some just felt, I dunno, I guess hokey at parts, like the music for the Monaco scene.

i like em all. cant rly remember the hulk's though. Parts of thor were really great. And most of cap was amazing. Had a star wars/ indy vibe. i like it

Yeah Thor's score is my favorite so far, with Cap's score being second.
I found Thor's score to be the best as well since it was the only score that I found so memorable that I could hum it the day after I saw it the first time.

I think all of the scores have worked well though.

You know, I can at least remember Iron Man's score. Thor's I can't remember worth a damn. Cap's I can as well. But IM's was always catchier to me.

I'm gonna try to ask iTunes if I can see the downloaded trailer records list, to make a more accurate guess as to how popular it is. TF3 was teh former lead, but I just want to see if any other high grossing films were on that chart....

out them all I'm torn between Thor and Cap lol

Oh I think that Silvestri will do a good job scoring this movie. I daresay we've been giving him some pretty good recommendations for inspiration in one of the threads here.

Anybody see the video of the hundreds of extras clashing from DKR? I honestly hope the avengers has huge battles like that too. Better be epic. Props to chris nolan tho, hope the action is better than the action in the dark knight!

Is it fair to say that it's all positive so far on The Avengers? Great cast, great crew, I can't think of any nagging doubts anywhere. Surely a rare circumstance.

Pretty Much.

Hopefully the action level will attract people, like Transformers, but with a good plot.

I have no doubt that The Avengers will one of the biggest event movies for years. The Dark Knight Rises is about as close to a guarenteed blockbuster as it gets, but The Avengers isn't far behind.

Like that's a surprise.:cwink:

How much you like a movie's score had nothing to do with the character, I was also agreeing with Rock Sexton who posted the same thing first btw.

I can't find a way to ask itunes for more info on the records...dammit.

Anyone got any suggestions?
