This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]371229[/split]
I completely forgot about that.A marvel character still hasnt appeared on castle yet. Several were mentioned though
earth is much more vulnerable than asgard and messing it up would really piss off thor
There's one thing that I don't get.
On the Avengers site, for Loki's bio, it says that Loki's invasion of Earth is motivated by his desire to gain revenge on his brother.
If revenge were a factor here, considering on how Loki has no issues in traveling between Earth and Asgard as shown in "Thor", why doesn't Loki just go after Asgard first instead of subjugating Earth, a planet that he didn't seem to have any quarrel with previously.
Speaking of which, I wish that idea/concept would have had been given more time to explore and develop in "Thor", since they spent so much time emphasizing on how Thor was worried about the safety of Asgard, along with establishing on how arrogant his character was at first, that it felt a little out of the blue when it was established that Thor had a personal interest in protecting the planet that wasn't perhaps partially motivated by his newfound love and companionship in Jane Foster and company.
Thor's desire to protect Midgard is hardly out of the blue. Loki is an Asgardian so whatever harm he causes in the other realms is Thor's responsibility, as well as Odin's. Historically, Odin and the armies of Asgard fought to protect Earth from incursion by the Jotuns and perhaps other species. It isn't a stretch to assume that Odin would react in a similar way if one of his own sons were leading an invasion of Midgard. There would also be the aforementioned sense of responsibility and even guilt over Loki's actions because he was motivated by the thirst for revenge against his father and brother.
All of that gives Thor a powerful set of reasons to come to Earth's defense when Loki attacks. Thor's motivation goes far beyond his attraction to Jane Foster. Family responsibility, personal honor and princely duty would all figure in. Since Midgard is one of the Nine Realms there might also be diplomatic considerations, as with the Jotuns. One prince of Asgard is attempting to conquer Midgard, so the other has to be dispatched to stop him.
Loki has mastered sorcery in Asgaurd, something Thor has yet to do.
Yes the Hammer has powers, Powers that perhaps even THor at this point has not fully mastered

Regarding that interview with the Disney worker posted earlier: Who still hates the idea of Disney owning Marvel? It's been nothing but positive so far. & it will probably only get better. *imagines Marvel park at Disney World*
Yeah, I hope we see Thor using some of Mjolnir's more elaborate powers in The Avengers, Thor 2, and Thor 3.
I think Marvel has a better chance appearing at Disneyland or California Adventure (the adjecture Disney theme park) than Disney World, due to the fact that Marvel has a place over at Orlando's Universal Studio and the copyright thing will probably prevent Disney from making a Marveland at the nearby Disney World.
Actually, Odin used his staff to open the portal.Well Odin clearly used the Hammer to open up a portal to Earth to banish Thor in the first place soooooooooooooooo....
