The fight at the end of Matrix Revolutions and the fight between Hancock and Mary are the pinnacle of superhero fight scenes. For heroes with flight, strength, speed etc.

They are definately up there, especially with the amount collateral damage caused, and to think Hancock had a $150 million budget only to do it with as well.

Yeah even though the Hancock vs Mary fight was more of a "skirmish" it still causes a huge amount of destrucion and the fight at the end of Matrix Revolutions was amazing.

The way Hancock stopped that train without being fazed was mind blowing, the whole movie was sprinkled with cool little feats of strength that are missing from Marvel Studios films. That's the kind of power I want to see displayed by Thor and Hulk (plus IM to a lesser extent) throughout the the film, especially during the climax.

Yeah it was great, the damage caused, especially by the train incident and the fight with Mary was awesome as well. I have a feeling Marvel doesnt want this type of stuff in the movies though as it would offend the kids. Hancock had a little more edge than of the Marvel Studio movies so far.

You don't think kids would like to see superhero fights that cause epic of amounts of damage?

I'm not saying that I think this way, but IMO I think Marvel does. Notice how, outside of Iron Man 1 and SOME of TIH, no innocent bystanders really get hits or no buildings really get damaged while people are in them?

Well in IM2 at the end with the drone fight I'm really surprised no civilians got killed. Notice when they fly past that penthouse or whatever it was with the big screen windows, War Machine firing his mini gun. I don't think they really thought that through, pretty much everyone in that room would be mincemeat. Pretty big oversight really, why didn't Stark take the fight miles away from civilians?

New poster of Thor and Black Widow, I love their poses in this poster. :woot:

There's no Coulson on any of these posters :jedi

I reposted them because I didn't want it to be directly under one of my previous posts.

Yeah but I don't think any innocent by standers got hurt during the Hancock and Mary scuffle either, or atleast it wasn't shown on screen.

You don't remember all those bodies flying around in the distance when Abomb was rampaging in Hulk?

Yeah, I thought that was pretty idiotic myself. For some reason since 2008 in a Marvel movie they wont show normal civilians getting hurt, Hancock and the likes of First Class, the Transformers movies and even Green Lantern showed civilians in the firing line getting hurt.

Yep, Abomination was knocking cops into the air and he even killed a civilian with a car right after (or before) they showed Michael K. Williams.

I agree there needs to be more mayhem, destruction and collateral damage in these Marvel films. These are for the most part super powered beings after all. :woot::up:

Cars were hit while in motion, people would have been driving them, also people had to duck, etc in the buildings. They at least showed them in danger of getting hurt and in the train scene people actually were.

Read his post again.....

Yep, I clearly mentioned some parts of TIH showed this. However, it was mostly army guys and cops rather than innocent bystanders.

Yea, if there isn't any actual civilian or military deaths i'll be disappointed. Not because i'm sadistic like that, but because it just neuters the threat and makes you realise you're watching a movie, a kids movie.

There has to be some deaths.

Definately, I wanna see some streets ripped up and craters created from invulnerable characters being slammed into the ground! :argh:

Death is death though, I'm sure kids aren't going to be like "who cares about those cops being killed, INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE DYING MOMMY"!

Maybe, and this is a big as the universe maybe, Fox might be willing to let Joss continue Firefly? Or (this is more likely, but still a big stretch), that Disney will be willing to buy it? I mean, ABC is clearly trying to get a teenage demographic, which is why their making the Marvel pilots.

It's too big to hope for, but still...if it does well enough, money talks.
As much as I would love and I mean :hrt:LOVE:hrt: for Firefly to come back on television, the problem is that most of the stars have other projects. Nathan is doing Castle, Gina has Suits, and so on. I think the most we *might* be able to get is perhaps another film (which I would love as well).

I know, that's just wrong. I'm also kind of annoyed that there's no Loki either (I just feel that, for being the main big bad - as far as we currently know that is - he seems to be getting awfully shafted in terms of marketing and promotion. I'm not feeling the menace! But that's probably just my inner Loki fangirl talking :meanie: *lol*)

I thought even though it wan't shown on screen, that quite afew people would have been killed during the Drone fight in IM2, plus lots of soldiers and Hydra troops were killed in CA:TFA.

Exactly, just seeing buildings blowing up isnt enough. I thought it was VERY effective in Transformers 3 when humans were being vaporised by Decepticons.

Well thats my point, people dying is people dying, so why since 2008 have Marvel stopped showing this?

If we got another series of Firefly or a Serenity 2, I would be the happiest man alive, LOVE the show and LOVE the movie, huge fan of both.

Well to be fair Cap's film had plenty of deaths. Some of which were just nasty. Like the guy getting turned to a red mist after going through the propeller. It even had genuine, old school style blood squibs that would make Paul Verhoeven proud. I mean, that part where the Hydra spy gunned down that old lady actually had me shocked. I was like, 12A, really? lol.

I'm also pretty sure SOME Shield agents were killed when The Destroyer came to earth during THOR even though it wasn't shown.

i'm also pretty sure that MANY people died of natural causes during the course of each film, it just wasn't shown.

Aw, Thor needs a cuddle. :waa:

I bought tickets last week... $55 for 2 tickets in Australia. Outrageous.

Odeon still haven't opened booking in the UK even though it opens here sooner.

*sigh*
