I'm going to go in about 10 minutes and won't be back for a few hours so if you want me to answer some questions now get em in

I'm just thrilled you said it's at the top of the best CBMs. I love that this is a constant theme among the fan screening audience.

Even if you are a bastard! :oldrazz:

Seriously, I meant that as a compliment. It's one thing for a few people to say it but when it's universal like this, that means there's something really there.

Dude, you know how I am about Marvel and their movies --

There's DEF something there. It's been 3 days and this movie has STUCK with me. I'm eager to see it again it's insane.

It has actually made me go -- "Can TDKR be this good?"

Chewy,

I don't need details on the scene, I just need confirmation of something:

Is Thanos in the mid-credits scene? If so, how does he look?
Yes, they just show close-ups of the side of his face and his weapon of choice. Looks like the comic book version

I also want to say that the final shot (not the mid credits scene, the final shot of the actual movie) is brilliant. Whatever you do, don't spoil it for yourself. Even if you spoil everything else.
Wait the one that they filmed on thursday? or the actual shot of the movie before the animated credits?

So, what's the big opening scene that was mentioned several times in interviews? Since it's not that narrated prologue linking the MCU up that was originally rumoured...
It is Loki meeting with the Chitauri.

What are the opening credits like, anyway? Anything special/unique?

For the people who just saw the screeners, I repeat some of the questions that weren't answered:

1. Does Nick Fury personally kick ass?
2. How much screen time do the "carried over" supporting characters (Pepper's cameo, Selvig, etc.) get?
3. Is the attack by Loki and friends just on NYC, or is it a global invasion?
4. Would my friend who has only seen IM, IM2 and TIH be able to follow what goes on in the movie?

1. Yes
2. 5min
3. NYC
4. Needs to see Capt America!

This exactly! It's insane. It has it all, the humor, action and heart.

I love the camera work towards the end. It made it feel as if every character was involved, it never focused on solely one. Loved that!

It is Loki meeting with the Chitauri.

Strange that that's what was promised as BIG by the cast/crew...I was hoping for that prologue, would be a great way to introduce the MCU/add the post-credits scenes for those who haven't been following it as closely as we have...

Indeed you did. Haha.

Dude - the helicarrier sequence? How overwhelmingly awesome was all of that? And then you're like -- how can they top that? And it's amazing how he made each hero feel like they could be dead and were being pushed to their limit...

I think it's better than TDK.

They're both brilliant movies, but I have to be in a certain frame of mind to watch TDK. I don't imagine that'll be the case with this.

I...I seriously can't take this thread anymore.

I've never felt this excited for anything in my life...
