OOOOOH I ALMOST 4 GOT...What tha hell do stark'z bracelets do???????????????????

Loki comes in like annoyed Stark didn't give him the time of day as he entered Stark Tower penthouse after noticing Loki on the roof.

Then he pays attention to him offering him a drink
He walks up with his staff, attempts to take control of him by touching his chest but taps the arch reactor. Tony explains its artificial then goes off on a rant about how It's all on Loki & there is nowhere to hide
Does the head count scene, quietly slips on his MarkVII bracelets which act as sensors for the new suit then Loki gets violent so Tony jumps out the window
Orders Jarvis to deploy the new suit
It flies out in a pod and as Tony is falling, it connects to him piece by piece

Thor has no powers, he cannot fly, he cannot shield himself from a blast or take a punch
His hammer has all the power, it does the flying, etc

Yes he does. Thor has super strength/durability with or without the hammer. He fought hand to hand with Hulk without the hammer.

Lol! Don't even yourself believe this. IM at 400% power level vs Thor without Mjölnir and IM stills unable to hurt him ;) nuff' said

No, the hammer was in his vicinity the entire time and he used it on the hulk!

Just like many other times

If it was completely off-world, he would have no power

Whatever you say... Thor withou hammer can kick Cap America ass... and support all attacks of Iron man (even at 400% of power level). Don't lie to yourself ;)

I just watched the first 7 episodes of Earth's Mightiest Heroes the cartoon :yay:

Great way to get in the mood for the film

I watched 2 Ultimate Avengers cartoon movies as well, but they were really bad

Who else likes the cartoon?

Seriously?

HIS HAMMER WAS NEARBY
That's where his power came from

You don't know anything about the character of Thor...

But, let me get you, what you're saying it's exactly the same thing ass if i say "the power of IM came from his armor", "the power of Hulk came from a gamma radiation accident", etc, etc...

It is clear, you don't have arguments. :yay:

Folks, McLovin is obviously just looking for a fight...

Say whatever u want about your puny god

There's only one God I know and he doesn't dress like that!

Mmmm ... not quite. Thor is not in "mortal form" on Earth this time around. his father stripped him of his natural Godly abilities and the ones only his hammer afforded him back in the solo film. In this one, even when he doesn't have his hammer, he's still powerful.

Exactly, it is not even so hard to understand.

I just can't fathom all the things you guys who have seen it are saying being true. It just seems so impossible that they got it so right. Damn it I can't wait to see this.

Told you to pay attention and get the screening tickets!

But yeah it's all true, even if it sounds too good.

Yeah McLovin is just being as much of a troll as the ACTUAL McLovin. The powers Thor gets from Mjolnir are enhanced stregnth/durability, enhanced weather/lightning control, and flight IIRC. He even has SOME sort of control of the weather when he is immortal AND doesn't have Mjolnir, as in the infiltration scene in the Thor film.

I love the tv show cartoon. I actually just realized yesterday that season 2 has already started so I got caught up with that lol. The cartoon movies are pretty bad though yeah, like Hulk should definitely not be able to lift Mjolnir. That's dumb. And Banner was an old dude lol.

The New Avengers cartoon movie was rather silly as well. It was a very interesting idea, though it could be done a lot better.

Midnight opening day, of course, and then the day after and then Sunday. LOL

I'm penciled in for at least once a weekend for the first month. I'll even go to afternoon shows by myself if I have to.

I enjoy the Ultimate Avengers animated films, even though there were numerous aspects that could have been improved upon. As for Avengers: EMH, I have enjoyed it, as it is a nice bridge to the film (as it imports some of the Ultimate ideas, some of the MCU ideas, in addition to culling the majority of its information from the MU.)

However, I am becoming tired of seeing the same brushfire break out in this thread; power levels, whether in the comics or films, are inconsistent through history and difficult to depict, due to storytelling restraints and appeasing the fans. If all of the characters were at their "true" power levels (a term I have difficulty with as it is arbitrary and based upon cherrypicked evidence,) the film would be zero sum.

Ultimatum, if you may.

That's why I am happy the emphasis of the film is not on Avenger X vs. Avenger Y. I'm more interested in the verbal fights than the physical ones.

Returning to the Ultimate Universe:

That's the point of the animated Ultimates film: it breaks the rules of the Marvel Universe. If it adhered to the rules, than there would be no point for it, since it would be rehashing the same scenarios and characterizations (which stunts artistic growth). Besides, I always enjoyed the ambiguity about Ultimate Thor, in the earlier runs: whether he was actually the Prince of Asgard or a nurse who was mentally ill. It made for more interesting storytelling in that medium.

Hey guys I wasnt trying to fight
I really believe he gets his powers from the hammer being in the same "realm"
If it was on Asguard I don't believe Thor would have powers on Midguard or other realm

And, no I'm not religious
I was quoting Captain America

Of course. But I want to go more than once opening weekend, to help the number as much as I can ;)
