No.
Is it possible these were in the movie and cut out? I'm sure pretty early before this even started shooting I heard the film would include some [BLACKOUT]asgard[/BLACKOUT] scenes to explain [BLACKOUT]Thor's presence in the film.[/BLACKOUT] Sounds like it's just kind of random, though... I hope it's at least a little better than the whole symbiote/meteorite thing they did in SM3... sorry to even mention that film in the same breath as Avengers, but it's all I could think of.

There are a few cosmic scenes but they all involve Loki and how he got his army. Thor's return is sort of glossed over and Loki asks Thor how much energy Odin had to use to get Thor back to Midgard.

Oh and Tony gives a lot of good natured ribbing to almost every one on the team.

He calls Cap when he was frozen, "Capsicle."

When he first meets Thor he says, (In a British accent) "Does mother know you're wearing her curtains?"

My favorite is when he refers to Hawkeye as Legolas.
Oh my god... all three of those sounds amazing, but the last one :lmao: Reminds me a bit of when the S.H.I.E.L.D agents were referencing Thor's companions as characters from pop culture.

I didn't find Cap joke all that funny. The scene with Thor and Hawkeye that you mentioned, on the other hand, were very funny.

How does the film ending...meaning the final scene before credits?

Tony and Pepper getting all romantic up in the Stark Tower as it pans out and all the letters were destroyed except for the A...hence Avengers.

It ends in Central Park. Fury is talking to the Council back at SHIELD explaining how important The Avengers are to the world and it's intercut with them all at Central Park going their separate ways. Thor takes Loki and the cube back to Asgard. It then shows Tony and Pepper in Stark Tower, remodeling it after the damage it took. The camera pans out and instead of it saying STARK TOWER on the front, it has the Avengers "A" as he rebuilds it into Avengers Mansion.

Thanks for that. So, essentially, it does sort of put an ending to phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that final scene...even with the knowledge of the sequels coming. As you described it, it feels like an ending of sorts to me...

Post credits scene, or in this case, mid credits scene=
awesome
. My girlfriend, who is more of a DC person that Marvel person, even knew who that was.

^ I don't think Spider-Man 3 was "horrible", I think mediocre is a better word to describe it.

My feelings on Spider-Man 3. It's in the $5.00 bin at Walmart, and I still won't buy it.

Question:

How is Thanos pronounced? I always say it, Tay-nos but have been told its wrong.

I honestly didn't know...I felt stupid :(

You thought that was an insult to you? It wasn't. It's alright if you didn't know who it was. I was just saying that the extra mid credits scene was epic and my girlfriend, who is a DC fangirl, knew who that was.

To those that have seen the film, I have one question. I am a continuity buff, I'm obsessed with it. Are there any references at all to Norton's "The Incredible Hulk".

Anything that tells us that the Banner in The Avengers went through all the events from TIH, like how he fought the Abomination in the streets of Brooklyn, etc.?

Even if it's a passing reference, like Stark talking about the bar meeting with Ross, or someone mentioning the Brooklyn fight, or even a picture of Betty and/or Thunderbolt?

I've seen this question asked a couple times but no answer. Thanks for all the info guys.

The "Th" is pronouced like a regular th and I've always heard it with a short
A. Some use a long A

Lol, not at all. I was being facetious. I'm more of a DC guy myself. When that part came on though and literally everyone in the packed house started cheering, I felt a bit confused, lol.

Yes I believe so. There is a line somewhere where he mentions he once destroyed parts of New York City or something to that effect.
