It's not crap if it's entirely accurate. The Ultimate Nick Fury was modeled after SLJ, and that's exactly who they cast much later in Iron Man. You'd have to be a fool to see that as coincidence and insist that the Ultimates iteration of that character had no impact on the creatives behind the MCU.

i don't see that as a "coincidence " , i'm just noting the fact that the movies used a version of the character from an alternate comic book universe instead of the normal, original one.

Well, no one really gave two ****s about Nick Fury being modeled after Sam Jackson because A) It's Sam Jackson and B) Fury is no where near the level of popularity that Batman is, nor will he ever be.

Bruce Wayne will never be black in a cannon comic/movie/etc. Alternate universe, maybe. Certainly not in a big budget DC movie.

i'm just saying, most comic fans don't seem too outraged about racial changes of comic book characters in movies anymore, unless they're really ******** "EVERYTHING MUST B TR00 2 TEH SOURCE MATERIALZ " type of fans, or racists. it's equivalent to the fact that heath ledger's joker wore makeup in TDK instead of being permawhite. you don't see too many people complaining about that, not anymore anyway.

plus maybe a black bruce wayne didn't exist in the comics, but a black batman definitely did :

plus the average movie go-er would probably be curious to see it . " hey, that's right.... why ISN'T there a black batman ? RACISM YO " . it'd be like obama all over again, although hopefully with less dissapointing outcomes.

yea , i had to fix the link. but nah, the page clearly states :

" Batwing expands the DC Universe by taking place in Africa, making David Zavimbe both the first (in continuity) black Batman and one of the few characters headlining a series outside the United States. "

There's nothing I hate more than race debates in comic book movies...

There will never be a black Bruce Wayne in a major Hollywood Batman movie. Simple as that. And I highly doubt there will ever be a Batman movie without Bruce Wayne as Batman, unless it's Batman Beyond.
