With an older Batman I am half-expecting an older Catwoman, namely because there are more than a few actresses that would kill in the role who are about the same age as Affleck and would otherwise be out of the running in usual circumstances.

She's not past her prime for the role, she is far and away the best and most obvious choice. Along with Charlize Theron. I am right about this

Was saying it waaay back in the day for the Nolan films and for me works even more now with the age of Bruce and where he is, Rachel Weisz was then and still is now, my number one choice for Selina.

That'd be good, but I always wanted her for Talia when Neeson was Ra's

They really really dropped the ball with Ra's and Talia in Nolan's version. Every other villain was done pretty excellently, but those two were ****. So much potential, just wasted. Liam Neeson wasn't the problem, he could've been a perfect Ra's, the overly realistic writing really neutered and ruined that character.

Definately more chance of getting that 'version' in these films....I think the problem last time round (Nolan films) was as said, the 'realistic' approach as you say and also, they wrote themselves into a corner from first point, everything that followed in the 'twist' outlined in Begins negates that aspect of the character even if, they had wanted to pursue a 'mystical' aspect to the characters, they couldn't.

Agree to disagree on Jolie. Not saying she wouldn't be fine but there are quite a few actresses id rather see.

Not sure why so many people are obsessed with aaron paul. He was good in breaking bad but I just cant see him in a major role in a superhero movie. I see him suggested for Guy Gardner all the time and it blows my mind.
