The Batman Reboot JOKER Casting Thread

I'm kind of starting to love the idea of Bardem as The Joker.

I keep forgetting about Bardem as Joker. Im still down for that.

Hell, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd even be down for Cage.

i was all about Bardem as Joker a few months ago. Now he'd be my no 2 choice

Getting major TDKR Joker vibes.

Nothing wrong with that.

A combination of his performances from Gangster Squad, This Must Be The Place, and Milk would be disturbing.

Bardem as Joker?

Has potential. But I already saw his Joker like character in Skyfall.

I'd be on board with Penn. At least he could pull of the right voice and accent ;)

He could do it, no doubt. He's already mental and has great versatility :hehe:

Throwing a curveball here:

The Swede is a very good actor but if he was cast as Joker or any villain he would tower over Batman. The man is a giant.

Oh man, those Jared Leto shots are great. He'd bring a crowd (not necessary, the crowd's already coming), and his acting chops are sweet. He'd absolutely crush as the Joker. That said... two "pretty boy" Jokers in a row might not be the PR angle the suits are going for.

But here's my left-field casting choice.

If Joker is going to be more of a featured supporting role in a rogue's gallery type of flick where we see a lot of different villains and not just one main "big bad," I think Pegg would naaaail it as a Hamil-esque Joker. I think he's got the acting chops to pull off doing some really evil things that lend gravitas to the character, and I wouldn't mind Joker actually playing a bit of a comic relief (albeit twisted, disgustingly comic). I'm thinking of the final moments of Death of the Family, where he's revealing a patchwork of sewn-together human bodies commissioned from dollmaker, etc.
