The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

getting all hot and bothered about the batman actor's physique will always be so weird to me lol
Don’t know how that’s weird? Robert did say he looked at the rock, Chris hemsworth and Chris evans as inspiration to get jacked for the role. That’s all Brody.

I’ll probably delete most of this in the morning, btw, don’t want people running with it to Twitter or reddit
How is Selina/Catwoman in it? Do we get any rooftop chases or whip action? I assume there’s not final cowl.

Yes, pretty much every aspect of his suit and belt have a specific purpose and we’ll see it all on display during the Police headquarters escape sequence
Any idea what this is? Not sure if we ever figured it out. Apologies if someone did already.

On a german movie site there is a detailed description of the synopsis for the blu-ray release

With help from Google translate:
"For almost two years now, millionaire Bruce Wayne (R. Pattinson) has been fighting crime in his hometown of Gotham City as the dark avenger Batman. However, under the influence of Commissioner Pete Savage (A. Ferns), Mayor Mitchell (R. Penry-Jones) and crime boss Carmine Falcone (J. Turturro) and his right-hand man Oswald Cobblepot (C. Farrell), crime and corruption door and gate open. However, when Mitchell is brutally murdered by the psychopath Edward Nashton (P. Dano), things change in the blink of an eye. Nashton himself has an open account with some of Gotham's most powerful families trying to hide a dark secret, and as he embarks on his bloody vendetta across the city, he finds himself and Batman kindred on opposite sides of law and order , which is why he not only tests the criminal hunter with all sorts of puzzles that he leaves at the crime scenes, but also puts the police directly in the focus. This begins, under the leadership of James Gordon (J. Wright), who has just been transferred to Gotham, to hunt Batman as the main suspect, which forces Bruce to give up his alter ego for a short time and to try without a mask to uncover the reasons for Nashton's rampage and to end the killing . He not only stumbles upon the shrewd thief Selina Kyle (Z. Kravitz), who is supposed to steal and dispose of evidence on behalf of her foster father Falcone, but also over clues that the Wayne family themselves associate with the conspiracy and not only Bruce's life, but also that of the few people who are close to him put in danger..."
So Riddler set up Batman to make him look like a murderer or at least an accomplice. That's why the police chasing Batman and that's why we see Batman in disguise as Bruce Wayne when he wanders around Gotham

That reminds me of Gotham, the storyline between Gordon and Riddler. They did the same thing

And Wright's Gordon just moved to Gotham?

These details are new here, right?

I remember the thing about him having to lay low as Batman and solve the mystery without the suit for most of the second act being talked about last year, but I kinda thought that was debunked by the test screening leaks saying he spent most of his time in the movie in the suit.

@shauner111 @Robbypattypats is this synopsis reliable? based on everything that you guys know about the movie

"which forces Bruce to give up his alter ego for a short time and to try without a mask to uncover the reasons for Nashton's rampage and to end the killing" it makes no sense, Batman is investigating with Gordon at the orphanage

Maybe they conduct the investigation alone without the GCPD cos Gordon trusting Batman

The Bruce detective work is in the second act. Gordon/Batman visit the orphanage in the first act.

I thought so because this sounds exactly like that fake leak that was floating around.

Batman gets his brutal fighting style from watching penguin beat someone to death.

Which doesn't at all line up with you said about Alfred teaching Bruce his combat skills.

I want the part about Selina being Carmine's foster daughter to be true. And it could be. But everything else checks out except for Batman giving up his cowl to investigate as Bruce. That part happens but i don't think he gives up the cowl. Maybe it's just worded wrong. He just focuses on the investigation in the second act once something big happens. Yes, Batman is blamed for the murder of the DA. I wouldn't call him the main suspect of all the murders. Not as far as I know.

Wait so Alfred is taken out that early ?

And Bruce has deal with his information throughout the entire film ?

So is that why Batman is fighting the GCPD and has to escape as there shooting him ?

He gets blamed for the muder of the DA ?

What do you mean by Alfred is taken out
It was said by Shauner that the whole orphanage thing leads to the reveal that Bruce Wayne is the next target which leads to Alfred getting note from the Riddler with a bomb on it which was intended for Bruce but of course since he's Batman Alfred gets almost dies instead he does survive though we see him at hospital later.

You should clarify "taken out". It doesn't mean death.
Your right it looks i meant he was killed lol I'm such a dumbass sometimes.

I must have made many fans pissed at Matt for "killing off Alfred with a ****in bomb note" due to my "very poor choice of words".

To anyone confused the "taken out" part is simply him throwing the note being a little to late and getting a concussion or at least getting knocked out.

We see him in a hospital later he's not dead just out of the action.[/QUOTE]

Funeral scene from trailer. Batman's blamed. Explosion. Wakes up in GCPD with cops hovering, trying to unmask him. He freaks out. Gordon slips him a key and tells him to punch him in the face and escape (badass Jimbo). Big action sequence where Batman escapes the GCPD (in trailer and is also the shot that Reeves was working on in the editing room).

Jeffrey Wrights Jim Gordon sounds so much year one gordon based on this and i love it !

So does Batman ever repair his relationship with the GCPD ?

Or is it still blamed by the end of the film ?
