The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

Aww, man. They really cut that Joker in Arkham scene? Well at least it will be released most likely on the Blu Ray.

To think that Matt Reeves deliberately deprived us of more Joker. Lolcry. At least he's open to the idea of it cropping up post-release (presumably as a bonus feature). Feels like it's cool and hip nowadays for directors to withhold such material. I wanna consume E V E R Y T H I N G.

Probably just as well, it sounds like Joker is shoehorned into this movie as it is.

The scene setting up Joker in Arkham at the end feels like it works better as a cool reveal if we haven’t seen him already. A random scene of Joker in the middle of the movie feels a lot more… fan servicey.

Based on nothing but the description, could be totally wrong.

"This city has a way of turning people into clowns. Oh don't cry. You did SO GOOD. I have a riddle for you. What do you value more when you have fewer of them?"
"....A friend?"
"Yes!""
Meh. Kind of a dumb riddle. Anything that is limited could be valued more. Food, gold, etc. A good riddle should only have 1 unique answer.

That's why Joker doesn't do Riddler's schtick on the regular.

Ah ok. Thought it was Riddler saying it, not Joker.
Lmao. I'm imagining Riddler saying "Oh don't cry. You did SO GOOD" in my head now. I wonder how Dano would deliver that line.

Posting this here as per discussion in the main thread. Fahnia Thomas from EURWeb recently suggested that Batman becomes unmasked during what she describes as the "precinct" scene. That kind of reminds me of Batman/Catwoman #7, wherein Catwoman knocks out Batman, removes his costume and then locks him in a bank vault. When the cops show up, he essentially camouflages his face w/ his own blood so as to conceal his identity. Then all hell breaks loose.

A quick addendum: Fortunately, the aforementioned YouTuber refrained from going too deep into specifics. But as it's already out there now, I'm thinking that the scene in question takes place during Batman's heated brawl w/ the GCPD (the same one that's been shown in early promo images and trailers). Assuming she didn't misspeak, and some random cop does, in fact, manage to unmask the Bat, it'll be very interesting to see how he recovers from that. I'm guessing that he'll simply pull out something from his utility belt and use it to obfuscate his identity or scamper off into the night before anyone gets a good look. We shall see.
