Okay I'll just outright say it and not beat around the bush. I don't like the car, it's not going to ruin the film for me and I'm still just as excited as ever but I just don't care for the car.

Anyone who has read my posts in TDKT threads know that I hate the Tumbler so yeah of course I don't like this car. I'm sure the car chase or whatever will be fun though.

You realize that the new Batmobile is about 3 times the size of the Tumbler, right? One of the picture takers said it looked about a lane and a half wide, this thing takes hulking to a level that makes the Tumbler look subtle. And I personally love it for that.

Really? I never got that impression. I think that the new batmobile being less "dense" led me to believe otherwise. If that makes any sense.

Regardless, I can't wait to see it in action.

I see it more longer not wider. also if is that wide why did the batmobile was the same wide as the truck that was under it? I'm basing on the set pics posted, not sure thought.

Since the Bat suit reveal picture with the first view of the Batmobile I've been of the mind that this thing is going to have "modes". Now, I really don't think it flys. But I think it may have two different ground modes. For off road mode it's as we've seen it so far, with the wheels wide out from the chassis, sort of a raided up dune buggy, for when Bats has to take things off of concrete. In urban settings those wheels come in closer to the car's body, probably with some transformation in other areas so that it better handles on city streets. Finally now getting a better look at it I don't think those folded "wings" in the back are for flight in the least. I think this Batmobile is amphibious in some way. Either it can pull those wheels in all the way and ride atop the water like a high tech jet boat, it goes totally submersible like a submarine or maybe it simply seals itself and Batman can driver it straight into the water and it cruises along the riverbed/lake bottom. This would account for it's dirty look, seeing how coming from water to land and back could very well get it covered in mud. And didn't we get a rumor about Bruce living in a lake house with access to to cave under it? Well, maybe he takes an aquatic route out in this version? That would be a perfect stealth entrance and exit for going to and from the Cave, no?

We better get a scene where Batman takes it to the car wash.

I love how it looked like a huge tank from above, but from these new side shots you can really see how sleek it is. I do agree that the "doors" when opened look a bit fragile...but hey, movie magic!

So..about this scene, we have the Batmobile, we got a photo of Cavill in the super suit at the same site...hmm I hope the Batmobile comes out of this okay.
