¿What did you think of the Batsuit?

  • Love it!! Best Batsuit so far, even if we haven't seen it in color.

I always thought Christian Bale looked awful in those suits.. plus the design was terrible, besides the cape and cowl it looked nothing like Batman at all. Even Schumacher did better. So glad we can now forget those previous abominations.

Hear, hear!

Yea, I loved the BB suit, hated the tdk suit. This affleck suit is vastly superior to all of them though.

Ironically I thought the best batsuit in Nolan's trilogy was the Batman statue (Batue?) at the end.

Agree on that statue. I'm not sure what that was supposed to mean. That to everyone he was that lengendary demonic figure, when in reality he was a militarized soldier. Whereas Snyder is going straight for the idealized version.

That was quick......cool!

Wow those Schumacher suits are sh**! The Batman Returns suit is pretty bad too.

eh,The returns suit has always been my favorite.
At Least....until yesterday.:funny:
Still love it though.

damn the more i look at it, the more i appreciate how beautiful the suit is. i just can't understand the haters.

Yeah, I really can't understand the haters either. Doesn't make much sense to me at all.

I still think Jim Lee deserves some credit when it comes to influences on this new suit. The symbol is making everyone instantly think TDKR, understandably, but many other aspects look like a Jim Lee drawing of Batman come to life, that cowl specifically.

When it comes to the mouth being exposed. I would personally say, it would no doubt be the same reason many army/swat helmets don't cover the mouths. When it comes down to it, the axial skeleton is really what needs to be protected. Same deal with the Captain America costume. This also allows for various rebreathers to be applied with little fuss unless of course the suit already has it's own air supply. It's a different story for robin and the rest. Secondly as I said before, covering batman's mouth really wouldn't be met well by people/fans/trades/faraci..etc. Same as having a batman without a cape. Not without in context explanation. You have both functional and aesthetic rhetoric there.
The belt being yellow/gold...I've yet to hear any such thing.
What's more I've seen plenty of black or non yellow belts in continuity before so you can do this thing and leave none the wiser, as opposed to a cape free batsuit.

That's irrelevant in a conversation about "tactical function", remember? I did not begin the conversation about "function", my argument is to the contrary.

I'd be sitting here arguing the same thing about batman running around in a rainbow cape. What's the rhetoric?

That being said, you said 'nothing on the suit is functional'. Just curious, were you being literal?

Really? So you're going to compare the subtle bronze or brown of a utility belt to a rainbow cape? That really is such a non-sequiter. Would a rainbow cape prove more or less distracting than a bronze ultility belt? hmmmm...

Thinking you are facing a man in armor vs thinking you are facing some demon hybrid makes a kind of difference. I remember in the original film when they finally shot batman and good a close look at him, they were surprised to find that he was just a man in a suit...
just saying.

I find if funny that all of a sudden- in a film with a guy fighting crime in a moulded muscle bat costume with a cape and exposed mouth ("tactical function" again remember, not "comic accuracy"), that all of a sudden, a brown or bronze utility belt is too much. :whatever:

Lastly, I noted in a previous post, the merits of a black or bronze/gold belt concerning aesthetics/design-because frankly, trying to ground any of this fantastical concept as being "practical" is absurd.

PS. Which they didn't notice until he was lying static on the ground. Hardly the same scenario as a "roided demon charging you". Any costume will look like a costume when examined closely. What's the point?

If it truly is the Grey and black color scheme like a think it will be then it really reminds me of the Batman Inc suit also with its grey, the material and lack of trucks. With a DKR cowl and logo.

I'am trying to think what's going on inside Bat's head in that picture..Just from the way he is standing Ben (and Zack) really does seem like they know what they're doing. I mean, when I look at it, I think, "Yep, he looks tired and weary."

Also, is it bad that I want more right now??? haha I WANT MOOOOOOORE!
I'm honestly more excited for this than Godzilla tomorrow! AND I have been soooo keen for Godzilla!

99% of your posts are in the thread related to this movie, yet you have no interest in it.

Interesting concept

I like the large and proud logo. I also like how it appears to just be on his chest. I don't like when it's on his belt too. Unnecessary IMO. I think a bigger symbol enhances the broad look of the chest.

This.

The logo looks like "The Dark Knight Returns" logo.

The suit is 'The Dark Knight Returns' suit.

From the huge muscles, to the tight fit yet wrinkly bodysuit, to the large bat symbol, and stubby eared/thick necked cowl.

This is full on Frank Miller Batman, with touches of Jim Lee's New 52 and 'Hush' suits.

Batsuits Reveals Collection!

Speaks volumes to just how well the new suit is executed! Not to mention the style of this "reveal" shot as opposed to the others. (And mind you I like the others shown here too).

I've never loved a CBM suit as much as I love this one,but I can kinda understand where they're coming from even if I strongly disagree with them.
When you're given black rubber armor for 24 years, you're either going to become tired of it or convinced that it's the only way to go about it.

Then again..
It HAS been 24 years of the same damn thing.
I have a hard time understanding how somebody can be so resistant to change after so long.
Even if I liked the black armor I'd be pretty tired of it at this point.

This was probably pointed out somewhere in the pages and pages of reactions, but are those claw marks on the emblem? Like from a cat...woman...

Possibly...or a knife...or something else. The point, IMO, was to show he's been around the block a few times.

I hate the new suite. I especially hate the Batman emblem which looks ******ed. The whole suite looks cheese. This just yet another reason on a long list of reason why I have no desire to see this film.

Please refrain from using the term "******ed" to denote something you don't like. It is offensive to the mentally challenged to do that.
