@Galactus123: Hell no, I hope (and think) not.

Look at this. Tell me a Batman costume made out of this material wouldn't look better than any fan made costume;

The Tron Legacy suit above is Foam Latex for the armor, and neoprene for the under suit. Exactly the same materials used for all Batman Movie Suits with the exception of TDK Batman.
Same for NightOwl in Watchmen, and countless others.

The TDK Batman suit was mostly urethane rubber for the armor, and spacer mesh fabric for the under suit.

Posting this again to remind people that comic accuracy goes beyond fan-made spandex costumes.

That won't work, there's no armor. Batman needs armor to be realistic.

I still say that the Arkham Asylum/City game's suit is a perfect combo that should have been used since Begins!,Armor that would be easily fit in Nolan's universe while being damn accurate&faithful to the comics at the same time!

A win-win!

Batman... realistic... I dont get it.

Unless you re joking in which case a smiley would make it more obvious.
Yeah, it looks more like a holiday sweater to me lol.
I think he tried to give it some texture which i agree isnt that great, but overall its a great suit, miles better than anything we've had so far.

Not sure if you're serious, but the concept is that he is armoured underneath. The material you can see is supposed to look quite durable, like kevlar;

i for one would love to see the Batsuit go back to a sleeker simpler, DEEP black look. tdk's suit was too futuristic and and had too many plates and pieces. too much clutter i say! :(

Well, this may the Batsuit thread, but I figure we might as well talk about Bane's costume in here as well.

I was thinking about Bane's mask and how they could do something like the Bat-cowl for it, or just a customized ski mask or whatever else, and I was thinking one of those armoured tactical masks might work well. Bane's never really had a solid reason for wearing a mask--he has no identity to protect--and while I'm perfectly happy to assume it's simply a weird eccentricity, I'm also onboard with giving it a practical function, so a tactical mask works in that respect. If you've played Army of Two or if you watch 24, you know what I'm talking about (Jack wore one in the final season).

This is sort of what I was thinking:

Bane's not the Joker, he isn't careless about his own life, so I think he's someone who logically should be properly equipped for dealing with cops and mobsters. Put him in some tactical gear, like a flak jacket, and I think that's probably a good direction to go.

I could see something in the same vein as Army of Two working for Bane's look.

I'm in complete agreement. Found this on Google months ago. I personally like the yellow oval, but I'm not suggesting it return to the film version of The Batman.

That said, this would look great as it is:

I hate the silver gloves. And what's with the skulls on the boots?

Well, from what's going on at the Spidey boards, I think it's safe to say that the Webb Spidey suit is the new TDK suit.

Haha. Being a Batman fan, I'm so numb to the whole costume issue.

Having grown up with Batman89 and onward, I never knew such a thing as a truly accurate costume. So for them to be complaining about the new Spidey suit, I'm looking at it and thinking "well, it's blue and red! Isn't that a start?" The details seem so minor in comparison to anything Batman has ever gotten.

@ Spidey and TDK suits: I just don't understand why a fresh take on the suit is a bad thing. It looks cool, imo. Artists should be allowed to change things up now and then.
