I said roided demon in response to the molded muscle. You asked what's the purpose/advantage in having them over not.
never said two words about how a belt adds or subtracts to that feature. I said the belt being yellow adds nothing to nothing. Unless of course you have a reason for it?
It's so weird...I just feel nothing when I look this new Ben image, despite how cool it looks. And I want to feel something so badly. Pretty much a microcosm of my relationship with this whole production right now. It being 2 years away doesn't help matters much.
I just love how the new suit is attempting to sell the idea that this Batman is some sort of creature.
I don't know why, but this made me laugh hard.
Bone-breaking and heart-****-inducing.It's true, I didn't specify what kind of professional...

I'm the same way. I don't know what it is, but I'm not exactly hyped up, nor do I have any feelings despite how awesome it looks. In fact, I guess you can say I was underwhelmed.

It truly is a Frankenstien suit. The suit even has swirls that look like fingerprints on it. It's otherworldly. If this Batman depiction is as good as the suit..then Snyder/Terrio got Batman more than Nolan did![]()

When it comes to the mouth being exposed. I would personally say, it would no doubt be the same reason many army/swat helmets don't cover the mouths. When it comes down to it, the axial skeleton is really what needs to be protected. Same deal with the Captain America costume. This also allows for various rebreathers to be applied with little fuss unless of course the suit already has it's own air supply. It's a different story for robin and the rest. Secondly as I said before, covering batman's mouth really wouldn't be met well by people/fans/trades/faraci..etc. Same as having a batman without a cape. Not without in context explanation. You have both functional and aesthetic rhetoric there.Yes, same goes for the mouth being exposed/scallops on cape, etc... They are aesthetic conceits traditional to the character of Batman. The gold utility belt neither adds nor detracts anything from the imagined "tactical function" of the batsuit in your presented scenario of a "roided demon charging you". The gray suit with a black emblem versus the black suit neither adds nor detracts anything from the "tactical purpose". I just find it funny that this suit is all tradition, and form over function already (which is fine)...but a gold utility belt? TOO MUCH!!!
Thinking you are facing a man in armor vs thinking you are facing some demon hybrid makes a kind of difference. I remember in the original film when they finally shot batman and good a close look at him, they were surprised to find that he was just a man in a suit...edit: In your presented scenario of being charged in a dark alleyway by a man dressed as a bat- Is a grey muscle suit, or black armoured suit really going to make a difference in the level of terror they strike into one? What is the upper limit of terror that one can strike dressed in a cape and cowl with pointy ears in a dark alley?
The TDK suit and TDKR suit are exactly the same as far as I know. I thought it generally looked its best in TDKR, and Bale filled it out better too.

Star Wars beginning principal photography today was the movie news story that put a smile on my face.
^It does look like that. He'd blend in nicely amongst those. Maybe I'll get that gothic look I want in some shots.
I don't know that they have very many gargoyles in Detroit.
they can add some...it's supposed to be Gotham not Detroit
Detroit already looks like Gotham though.
I wouldn't change a thing.

I hope they change a lot. The Detroit skyline (no offense to any denizens) isn't all that impressive compared to New York, Chicago or MoS's Metropolis.
I hope they create a buffed up skyline with CGI and just pepper it with a few buildings from Detroit.
Gotham should be like New York if it had the crime and urban decay of Detroit.
I feel like those scratches on his symbol should be attributed to Catwoman, though I doubt that will be the case.![]()
