The BATSUIT Thread

I know most here are opposed to the Batsuit looking too "tacti-cool" and would prefer a more traditional costume, but if Reeves does go that route (wouldn't be shocking), I hope he takes inspiration from the Flashpoint suit. Always loved that look, and it just translates so well to a real-world style as seen in Arkham Knight and the new Batinthesun production.

I wouldn't be against that, albeit not being a fan of the weird shoulders, but I mean, Arkham Knight already had the perfect "tacticool" suit, in my opinion. And it ain't the Flashpoint suit.

Agree about the shoulders, and damn I forgot how impeccable the V7 batsuit was. Shame it was replaced by the ugly armor for most of the game.

You're right, that suit is a sublime blend of tradition and tactical. I'd still keep the military fatigues and combat boots from the Flashpoint design though. I think it looks more badass than tights.

Pointy shoulders do seem to look better in drawings that in reality. Like a dramatic exaltation of reality.

There's actually a really good bit of fan art that honestly improves the tights on the V7 suit quite a bit.

Honestly, give me this with ears that are half as long, a less vibrant belt and white lenses? You've got my ideal batsuit.

If only it didn't have that stupid helmet hair glitch...

That's great, thanks for sharing. You and I have pretty much the same ideal batsuit.

I feel like doing a playthrough of AK with this Batsuit now, lol.

I genuinely would, if it wasn't for the helmet glitch. Hence why I just use the Asylum suit

I'd like the lower half of the Batsuit to be like Cap's here. Most actors don't have the leg muscle mass for tights to look good without a ton of padding.

I like the style of the boots as well. The straps look the way Bermejo draws the Bat boots, which look great to me. More character than plain boots like Bale and Affleck had.

I'd love a Bermejo inspired Bat suit. We've had multiple variations on the same skin tight rubber suit theme. If they really want to do something aesthetically different, a Bermejo type suit is the way to go.

...just not with that bat symbol attached to the cape business.

Having militaristic *elements* to the suit is fine.

Basically doing the Captain America suit from that Enix Avengers game? Not so much.

Thing is, it all depends on the plot, story. If he is out fighting crime, in 2019, he needs armour, it's that simple.

If he is out there, just spying, collecting intel, data... stealth ninja is the way to go, with obvious slight armour on vital areas.

So it stands to say that it's a mixture of the two... at best. We have to suspend belief for certain materials being bullet proof etc.

The BvS suit, for all it's glory, it just looked too padded... it looked like he was wearing a body suit rather than protective padding - if they made his legs look more angular, like he had pads over the thighs, as an example, not just these huge muscles which when he wore plain clothes, he had slim legs, then it would have worked.

Rubber like B89 at least explains that it is rubber...with chest plate. Nolan BB suit was the best... as it looked like a protective suit and we knew he was built under it... go for that with better neck movement (perhaps cgi over seems/creases that allows movement).
