It would still look silly on a serious take on Batman. It looks fine on Deadpool and Spiderman, because they're more cartoony in nature. Their environments are bright, colorful, and way more zany. DD and Dredd don't use bright glowing lenses. My problem isn't with the "lack of emoting", but more so with it just looking silly, and it standing out from his environment. If this was a live action Brave and Bold, sure.
It also adds onto the fact of why I want to steer clear of the armor look. I want Batman to look more like a creature of the night, and less like a tech'd out superhero/Iron Man. I rather stick with the animalistic nature of Batman, and not any more needles gadgetry for the sake of introducing more visual tech. I prefer the Batsuit to look more minimalist than busy, and having bright glowing eyes is the opposite of that. Again, I want to get away fro the Iron Man look.
Also, the eyes do emote, so trying to claim they don't, doesn't really jive with me. You can claim it's not a big deal for you, but they do produce emotions.
