The BATSUIT Thread

Well, why do you think so many advocate for a tactical looking Batsuit? If not for realism, then what? No, they want it to look believable, even at the expense of a more stylistic design.

I think it's time they did something different with the cowl. How long are we gonna keep going back to the same methods of execution from 30 years ago? When the world around Batman is changing, why must he stay in the past? Several characters in the MCU have their eyes covered and they NEVER have a problem conveying emotion. Yes, they remove their helmets but Marvel didn't show the eyes through the mask for the sake of an actor's performance.

You can act without your eyes. And if we got an expressive cowl too, that would eliminate all need for the pupils altogether becuz as we've established, the pupils are not what shows emotion. It's the brow and eyelids
I'm all for some mods to the cowl to look more flexible and sturdy. Just do plated design where the plates are reinforced but provide points that allow for movement.

Or he just uses a type of contact lens that works like a google glass but gives him that HUD and the white lens look to someone observing him.

That's what I'm suggesting. Telltale already did this

Also, Scott Snyder's Batman had an A.I interface in his cowl/lenses

The tech that Batman is usually shown to have in his lenses is usually kinda.....stupid :funny:
It’s unnecessary.

They are not core as has been demonstrated by the most popular versions of the character in the last three decades.

Even the "most popular versions of the character in the last three decades" have used lenses in some form (The Dark Knight, BvS, the Arkham games).

I just think it needs to be as much part of his movie costume has it has been in the comics since his creation.

What is stupid is Batman still running around in movies with his eyes exposed and wearing black shoe polish in 2019.

For a story that takes place in the late 2010s, not really. It makes sense. This is how Batman would exist in the integrated age of technology that we live in today

It's like we forgot this happened.

This is from the same digital artist of the Earth One image. Really hope the cape looks as fantastic as it does here.

I think the blue really only works with a lighter shade of grey.

I don't think the yellow oval looks cool, it seems more like a nostalgia thing. But I don't mind it.

Yellow Oval is dated and honestly silly. I hate that most Batman stuff you see at Target or random place has the stupid yellow oval. It makes zero sense and that tired retcon by Morrison doesn't cut it with me.
