The BATSUIT Thread

I don't want Iron Man Batman (which we got with the Arkham Knight suit) but Bruce Wayne is still a billionaire. He would use advanced technology as Batman. Even a fabric suit would have high tech functionality built in.

I feel like armored Batman takes too much away from the Creature of the Night aspect of Batman. For big threats, sure that's fine. But I feel like his daily suit needs to be more fabric based. As Bruce says in Batman Earth One, him wearing something that at least looks like armor implies he needs it. That takes away from the idea of Batman as a myth
Batman in Earth One is a knucklehead moron that ends up wearing armor anyway.
I really don't see how wearing armor subtracts from the creature of the night aspect anymore than any other material

The suit should definitely be armored or at least protective, I would just prefer it be less obvious. I think a part of Batman's disguise should be the suit appearing simple and lowtech to an outside observer. Not only to possibly promote the idea that he's something other than human, but also to limit the idea that Batman has access to a lot of resources and technology.

I would like a Batman that is able to actually move the way someone trained by the League should be able to. Armor only slows him down and restricts the actor. He should be fast enough to take only minimal damage.

And the suit doesn't have to decked out in armor plates in order to be protective. Kingpin in Daredevil wore a form-fitting, thin layer of Kevlar UNDER his suit - and it was able to protect him from knife wounds and small arms

Bulletproof clothing also exists now

Wayne tech could absolutely weave a form-fitting, sleek suit that is highly protective. Armor plates are not necessary

This one looks pretty nice. I still prefer the suit to be something like this, like a slim down version of the BvS suit. Its shade of grey is a bit too bright though.

Not bad. I really don't want to see the fabric glued right in to every crevice of the muscles again though. The musculature doesn't need to be that overt.

Agreed. It is a bit much. Something like the musculature from the MCU suits would probably be better.

Got to be honest, gauntlets aside [I've still got a penchant for the '89 suit gauntlets] I think that is brilliant.

Tone down the fabric texture and make the musculature a lot less 300 and you’ve got a damn good suit. One of the rare ones that don’t have ugly ass boots.

I always said an updated version of the B89 suit. It's the perfect blend of stealth and theatrics.

Keaton could barely move in the 89 suit. It did what it had to for it's time but it definitely would not fly today

Flexible, nimble, fast Batman is what I'm hoping for

That's why i said an updated version. Think of the Begins suit, tweaked cowl, seems in the neck to allow flexibility which are later cgi'd out (most suits are heavily cgi'd to remove creases, lines, wires etc) and the yellow emblem.
It can be done.

I actually wouldn’t mind a fabric-based, black and gold suit. I know we just got the black and gray, but it’s a damn good look in its own right.

The Begins suit was heavily restricted too. Bale couldn't move his head let alone perform any dynamic fight moves. The thick rubber suit slowed him down immensely

I don't think building off the Begins/89 suit is practical for 2020 unless Reeves wants a clumsy, stiff-ish Batman. But that's assuming Reeves wants to regress

I wouldn't HATE it. You'd have to add the yellow emblem like so - so the symbol pops

Using the Earth One version of the emblem
