The BATSUIT Thread

Yeah I doubt they're gonna go that route.
Telltale/Arkham Knight/Rebirth/New 52 is the way to go. Perfect mix of imposing and tactical.
I would like to know the difference because I see those things in the Batfleck suits, especially in JL minus the beer gut reshoots.

I'm actually envisioning something more akin to Spidey's stealth suit in Far From Home, but a bit more streamlined.

If they're going early years, I honestly wouldn't mind a second-skin approach. Take that "bat" motif to another level (while maintaining the classic design elements of course).

We've seen the brute and action-hero, with the appropriate suits accompanying them. I'm still waiting for the "creature of the night" moniker to manifest finally on film.

The problem I have with sculpted abs - it always looks silly and unnecessary. It also looks like some erotic fantasy when Batman just engages in talks. The most ripped body won't look like that under fabric/rubber/latex. Muscles don't protrude that way under skin-tight outfit. Realistically it will look like in Batman: Year One or old Batman movies from 60s and earlier. In action like the warehouse fight, goons just don't have any time or desire to inspect how ripped Batman is. He's a moving silhouette. I think body armor should resemble human torso, but it shouldn't be sculpted like it's vacuum pressed beach body. Just enough to deceive enemy in case they consider to shoot him.

Risso meets Mazzucchelli meets Sale, would be perfect. Armor under Kevlar fabric, look... thin clean aesthetic, yet keeps the mystery/science of protection, etc.; would be so sexy.

Gotta have a heavy-duty utility belt for all them detecting gadgets. :awesome:
It's funny, it'll literally be the only film to justify and showcase the multi-pouch look. That thing's been largely for show in every iteration.

Hell, I wonder if they can get away not having the belt at all. He can keep pockets in his inner-cape. :o

No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
I really love it in the comics, but in live action it'd look corny as hell.

100% with you on this.

Chris Evans is way more ripped than Affleck, but Cap’s costume doesn’t show his musculature. Nor does Black Panther’s. Nor does Batman’s in BB.

The sculpted muscle look just reminds me of Schumacher. It’s pointless.

I think it'd work if the blue was really dark, like Prussian or Gun Metal blue. Not that bright blue.

No more armor plates or tactical bits please. I'm sick of tactical plated Batsuits. it ruins the aesthetic of what "Batman" is suppose to be and that's a creature of the night. Not an ex-Military black ops SWAT officer.

I love what Snyder did by adapting the TDKR/classic grey suit but we need something sleeker while also keeping the comic accurate concept of the design. The plates should be UNDER the fabric and accent the musculature on the surface. Giving the illusion that the suit is skin to criminals. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City had the right idea in regards to this.

Also, the white eyes need to be incorporated into the design. Retractable lenses he can use for criminal intimidation

What do you guys think of the suit potentially looking like the one use in stories such as Batman Noel?

I want Reeves to go all the way.

Blue and grey, oval, white eyes.
