I can understand if people want Simmons to return because they want to see what he can do when given actual material to work with, but by the same token his role was so minimal and inconsequential in JL that I'd hardly be pressed if they recast him. Love Simmons to death, but Gordon is one of those characters where you could find any number of actors that would do justice to him.

As for Irons, I think he has to go too.

Entirely new aesthetic, and if I'm completely honest I wouldn't mind an entirely new cast. Alfred and Gordon included.

A completely clean slate.

I dunno, I think Reeves could eject all the Snyder aesthetics while keeping Irons and Simmons as Alfred and Gordon.

Just look at how well the Bond series did it in 2006's Casino Royale with Judi Dench as M. It's a completely different take on the character than how she played M in from Goldeneye to Die Another Day, but arguably an improved incarnation of the character.

I dunno. I just think there's potential still with Irons and Simmons in those roles, even if Reeves' trilogy ends up being a full clean slate from the DCEU. Which, at this point, I almost hope we get.

Now, he's obviously younger than either of those two guys, but he's 15 years older than Gyllenhaal, and I can really see it.

The new Batsuit will be bittersweet for me. The BVS Batsuit, in design, is an amazing Batsuit and I will forever love it. Sadly, it didn't look nearly as good on the screen, and then it was promptly ruined in JL (why they messed with perfection, I'll never know).

On these mannequins with a leaner build, it's simply sublime.

Yet in the movie, Affleck looked so bloated that the look was completely ruined.

He just looked ridiculous.

For the new Batsuit, taking elements from Black Panther is the way to go. He should have the same build as BP (or slightly more bulked up), move with the same agility, and the suit should use a similar material.

I also really hope they're not afraid of color this time around. The more contrast there is in the suit, the better it looks. Just look at how the BVS suit looked instantly worse when they darkened it in JL. Ideally, the bodysuit should be a very light gray. I'm partial to this Batsuit, and I like the white utility belt too.

I hope they go for a very angular and chiseled cowl, like in Arkham Origins. The farther away they can get from the Bloatfleck look, the better.

That's pretty much it. To make things really fresh, I'd love to see novel stuff like blue or purple cape/cowl, the rebirth Bat symbol (my favorite), and most importantly, the lenses!

You just can't get this look without them.

I'm a big fan of the BVS suit, but I think it could be slimmed down significantly. The actual design is gorgeous, but the bulk can look a little comical at times.

If they make it slimmer, they have to change the insignia. That fat bat symbol is made with the thicc body in mind.

I think Reeves may very well go a similar route with the batsuit that Chris Nolan did, though I imagine it will be more aesthetically pleasing.

I only hope his Batman whoever it is, doesnt look as small as Bale does on the screen.

Depends on how far Reeves wants to push the realism. Batfleck looks impressive, but couldn’t actually fight for **** at that size. There’s a reason most UFC fighters are lean, with tightly defined muscle. The last thing you want in unarmed full body combat is too much bulk. Big, bulky muscles are not actually that powerful or effective. You need a combination of strength and speed. Hence why I think Batman should look leaner than Batfleck, because I prefer more realism.

I hate the word realism when it comes to comic book characters to be honest.
I always want to scratch the skin of my face off whenever someone says grounded or realistic when it comes to comic book movies. t:

I want to see a big guy dressed as a bat throw others around, i want to see a guy who calls himself spider-man do fancy flips etc, i want this over the top stuff.

But i get what you are saying.
As long as Reeves Batman doesnt look as small as Bale...im okay with everything.
Something along the lines of how Cavill looks would be fine to me too.
