I would use it for his introduction scene
Fair enough. The intention would be to show you exactly why Gotham's criminals would be so painstakingly terrified of Batman, instead of saying they are. But yeah, only in the first few scenes would also work.
To be fair, the point of TDK was that Gotham's criminals were "wise to his act". Shooting him with less mystique made sense.
That was one of the things I was most looking forward to seeing in Suicide Squad. The way Ayer described it I was like, he gets it. Only to find out that the vision seemed to have gotten lost in translation to the screen. The Batman scenes, while I did enjoy to extent, weren't as "horror-esque" as they were described.
Ayer said he wanted to show Batman from the villains perspective and to me that meant mind games, looking supernatural in a way. I think the closest thing to that is probably the docks scene in Nolan's Batman Begins.
Gary Frank indicated that the new suit would start showing up in the other titles.

I mean it's going to show up in Doomsday Clock right away. Have no idea when it'll show up in the other titles.
Personally speaking, I'd love to see elements of Sean Murphy's Batsuit design from Batman: White Knight to make it to the DCEU. It's a lot more grounded looking than most of the other contemporary Batsuits in comics and I think it lends itself more to potential film adaptations.

And I know it'd bug a lot of folks here, but I'd especially be all for that trenchcoat collar bit at the top of the cape being added to a film Batsuit. Really helps visually compliment the idea of Batman being a hardboiled detective in a film noir type story.
Never seen this but I'm intrigued. Could you post more pics please.

I want a fabric cowl for once
But the cowl in the comics is very obviously fabric. It's always been able to be pulled on and off his face like a hood. I'm tired of the stiff rubber cowls. Why can't a similar explanation they used for T'Challa's vibranium fabric suit be used for Batman's fabric cowl? I'm sure they can come up with something about it being bullet proof. And I want the white eyes for once too. If Spider-Man and Deadpool can have the moving white eyes then Batman can tooEhhh that's hard to pull off. That's why nobody uses fabric. And it wouldn't look very protective either.

They can even use CG to enhance the cowl

How can you say it'll look bad when it's never been done before? This is the same thing people use to say back in the day about a grey Batsuit. There many ways to make it look awesome. A silky, textured cowl with a blue sheen like it's drawn in the comics could look awesome if done right. Add the white eyes and you have Batman having walked out of the comics. You use black Panther as an example but even he doesnt have a fabric mask.
Theres a reason why and the reason is that it would look like ****.
What works in the comics wont always work in live action.
Your idea for the cowl is pretty much what I was imagining. A textured mask that he can pull over his face which then hardens and becomes vacuum sealed to his head so villains can't just pull it off.But that's the comics, Not live action. The Same rules just dont apply. T'Challas suit was nano tech that dissolves into nothing, That's much more batman beyond than Bruce Wayne dont you think? Maybe a fabric hood mask look could work if it was similar to spidermans and he had to activate the suit or the cowl. Like it's a fabric looking mask he can pull back, but when he puts it on he can press a button and the material hardens and conforms to his face but no longer looks like fabric.
The white eyes arguement is flimsy when it comes to batman imo. it's also a deep rabbit hole that actual requires some creative problem solving and has a few issues visually. Spidermans eyes are on the outside of his mask ( which covers his entire face ) and are much larger than the characters actual eye and they only move because its tech that mimics a camera shutter so it's a lot different than anything batman would ever have or look like. Deadpool has cartoony white moving blinking eyes because its cartoony like the nature of the character, it doesn't have to make sense with him because it's the nature of the character. Now of you say batman has contacts that are white or turn white in "detective mode" then yeah I'm all in. Or if he had lenses on the cowl that were similar to black Panthers and didn't blink, again, that works fine. But to give batman emoting eyes that are a part of the cowl make no sense and would stand out in a world where nothing else looks like that. maybe if you go ultra cartoony and the flash or Robin or anyone else with a mask has these CGI emoting eyes it would work, but the world would have to be consistent. Theres also the issue of the CGI white eyes in combination with an actors real face. With batman you're talking about having cgi eyes just inches away from the actors real life moving mouth. When it comes to CGI constructs what sells the character the most is the life in the eyes. Human eyes are something we're trained to focus on and we just inherently know what a real human looks like. So when you have CGI white eyes (which dont exist in nature) with a real humans exposed mouth moving just under them dont you figure it would be jarring to see? Especially if the cowl has blinking eyelids, how does that work? I'm not saying anything has to be grounded, but it needs to at least make a little sense. Its be like the opposite of superman's problem in JL. When you pay enough attention to it you cant unsee how jacked up his mouth actually was. By giving batman CG white eyes they're begging for attention.
The only time I really would want CG to enhance the cowl is if they CG the neck portion to allow the actor to comfortably move his neck around freely. So we dont have the actor look like they're in a neck brace or so we dont have a ridiculously huge neck portion like Affleck had in bvs. Why nobody has actually done this yet is beyond me. Especially when they already cg the Cape on half the time.
