I'm guessing he means metal plates like Arkham Knight
Sure - go out to fight crime - who cares if the suit works - long as it looks cool!!
I’m out mate. I don’t even know what your initial point is!! I genuinely hope you like the new suit- enjoy the hype'Cause yeah, that's what we all walked out of Begins talking about in '05. "Ack! The suit doesn't work!"
You do this right, it won't even be a factor.
You're guessing wrong. I mean he shouldn't look home-tailored like majority of MCU characters. I'm talking evolution of Returns and Begins suits.I'm guessing he means metal plates like Arkham Knight
95% of their suits: fabric + leather + seams. There's nothing special about it. Outside Iron Man or Thor (or fake CGI Spider-Man), it's never something like this:Yeah, I could go make that Cap costume at home. Thor's, Clint's. Trip to the local fabric store, sewing machine how-to guide, boom!
I don't really like the MCU approach to things either, the "house style" where all the movies have a common design element, but c'mon, the "home tailored" stuff is ridiculous.
Evolution of Returns-Begins? So an updated take on matte, black body armor? You're guessing wrong. I mean he shouldn't look home-tailored like majority of MCU characters. I'm talking evolution of Returns and Begins suits.
Since we had grey fabric recently, can't say I'm in love. So yeah, no thanks. Let's get back to black body armor.Evolution of Returns-Begins? So an updated take on black body armor? No thanks
We need to have an evolution of the ideas from the BvS suit (relatively simple design. Grey and fabric-based with armor plates going under the suit) not devolve into the 80s-early 2000s outdated mentality of giving Batman rubber body armor in order to look more realistic. We're past that phase and I hope we never go back.Since we had grey fabric recently, can't say I'm in love. So yeah, no thanks. Let's get back to black body armor.

Rubber body armor doesn't look realistic. But it looks fancy and interesting like element of gadgetry and advanced equipment. I don't want Batman to look bland MCU-style. If they find a way to make body armor more flexible without sacrificing aesthetic side, I'll be happy. We need to have an evolution of the ideas from the BvS suit (relatively simple design. Molding rubber/plastic is more complex and advanced than scissors and sewing machine. Yes, it's definitely different. And the effect is different.Err, Boose, in real life behind-the-scenes that Begins suit would have been made out of rubber or something equivalent anyway. Readily-available stuff just like the Marvel materials. Different specifics, but not that different overall.
With...seams so Bale can get out of the damn thing.
How is that different?

I don't know how one could be opposed to a Batman suit having this kind of aesthetic and material.
Practical, looks cool, protective, enough simplicity to look classical, the plates don't stick out that much... it's pretty much the best of all worlds. Paint it grey and black, slap a bat logo there and you're set.
Because Batman is traditionally portrayed as wearing a form-fitting suit that is sleek and relatively simple. The need to put him in body pads and SWAT armor to make him look "believable" seems to get lost in translation the fact that Batman is suppose to be ninja-lit. Lightning fast and soft on his feet. A sleek suit that accents the physique instead of hiding it is what the suit should look like imo.![]()
