I want something down to earth and I would love a modern re-interpretation of the classic Neal Adams design. My ideal would be something like this Finch-design with a little bit more practical belt:

I think I’m in the group that would like to see a modern take on Bill Finger’s original bat suit. That manip above in the thread has convinced me.

Let’s do something different.

Another thing I like about that cowl image is the material and how it hugs Battinson's face like a true skin tight mask. It looks a lot thinner and sleeker. I want the cowl to have that sort of material. I could also see him pulling the mask back ala Night Owl

I wouldn't mind the cliche 3rd arc of the film having the suit get really damaged

It would be like Batman 89

Yep. I certainly think the cowl should work with, and even accentuate Pattinson’s facial bone structure.

Both Bale in Begins and Affleck in every film suffered from fat face, due to their cowls, and their own faces (Affleck looks downright fat in some shots)... Rob’s gotta thin face, but a strong chin, they should use that, and give him a cowl that isn’t bulky or too thick.

I’d love that.
It’s definitely time for something different.
Mezco did a pretty good job of updating that look imo

Not perfect but definitely pretty pretty good

I think the solution to that is to definitely use a thinner latex material. You can avoid the buckling issue that Bale and Affleck had. The cowl would be much more form-fitting and that would compliment Pattinson quite well.

And yes to a Bob Kane inspired suit. We need something new and fresh. Something distinctive. With Reeves being a fan of Bob Kane and the out-of-focus Bat logo looking eerily similar to first appearance Bats, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens

Know someone else posted this one, too, but I enjoyed this design, too.

Kind of curious to see who Reeves brings aboard as costume designer.

Taking into consideration the supposed Fincher inspiration and Reeves friendship with JJ Abrams, I feel like Michael Kaplan could be a good choice.

Guy behind the new Star Wars films?
Yes please.

The original Bill Finger suit is a really fresh take that I want to see them try. But I wonder how they're gonna explain the need for those purple gloves lol.

Personally I just want the cape to be able to cover his body like in the comics, the recent batsuits weren't able to do that, which was a shame.

Lenghen the ears, add an oval , fix the cape/cowl attachment, maybe change the black into a really dark midnight blue and you're set.

My guess is it'll be Melissa Bruning, who Reeves has been working with on Costume Design since Let Me In.

Just make the gloves black and they're set.

It’s so interesting how a lot of people have come around to the idea of a suit inspired by this design. It just goes to show that we’ve gotten so many interpretations over the years, and we want something different.

I’d be fine with a suit like this. That artwork is beautiful.

I still feel like it’d be weird to see a Batman that looks like this interacting with foes that were introduced in the comics long after this suit was retired. That Batman looks best fighting mobsters or The Red Hood/Joker. It just feels more appropriate. But if they go with that look, I’d be all in.
