I dont think anything about bermejos costume looks homemade
I could totally see someone making it as a cosplay. There are way worse suits to be sure. The actual bodysuit and cowl really work for me, I think what I’m not feeling is the cowl connecting to the emblem, and the emblem design itself.I dont think anything about bermejos costume looks homemade
There are almost no versions of that suit that exist that don’t look like **** to me.

I kinda dig it tbh. I’d VASTLY prefer the yellow oval, but I don’t hate Bermejo’s.The bat symbol on the bermejo suit is so ugly.

My thing with Bermejo is that his Batman looks very Affleck-y. There’s literally a piece on his Instagram of the Justice League cast and his Batfleck is virtually indistinguishable from his regular Batman.
Let’s shake things up. Give me a mix of Gary Frank and Neal Adams and call it a day.
Wow. That is... bad. Yeah, really bad
This is great and would fit Pattinson well. It looks practical enough but doesn't sacrifice aesthetic for practicality. This looks like a very athletic Batman- one who does a lot of running and jumping and climbing, and that's perfect. I definitely hope for a much more nimble Batman in PattinsonThis one also looks totally awesome. Even without the three forearm gauntlet spikes. I can picture this suit especially given his physique on Pattinson:

I mean yea, but I meant aesthetically pleasing. Which admittedly is subjective. My problem with Bermejo's Batman is that it wouldn't look out of place in a G.I. Joe adaptation. The suit looks like repurposed combat fatigues -- with a rough, baggy, weathered style to it that I'm just not a fan of. His Batman looks like a cage fighter and it definitely reminds me of Affleck. Not what I'm envisioning for Pattinson at all but who knows what Reeves has planned.I mean, to be fair, Bermejo's suit absolutely has an aesthetic. In fact, I'd argue that the shoulder armor Bat Emblem in that suit gives the design a Gothic Horror flair to it, which is something I'm always a fan of for Batman designs. That Bermejo managed to do that in a realist art style and also make the suit look tactical to me makes me fond of the design as a possibility.
However I do agree that that fanart is a great balance between the regular warring divisions here. In fact, it reminds me a bit of both Batman Begins and Zero Year. Both of which are good designs IMO.
That said, it's always a bit easier to please a wider base of comic fans when showing potential concept art/fan art ideas of a new Batsuit when it's drawn in more of an anime/comic-y style. Gives everyone more space to interpret different elements of the suit in their own preferred way when picturing it in a live action environment. For instance, one fan might look at that art and easily imagine the Cowl working like it does in comics and cartoons, where it somehow magically is hardened and a solid protection for Bruce in use, but then effortlessly deflats into a thin fabric similar to a shirt... other's might just naturally envision the Cowl similar to the ones we've been getting since 1989.

I agree that the stylized look to that concept suit is what makes it easier to interpret. But I also think it's a change in emphasis of the practical elements. Where Bermejo's art emphasizes a militaristic guerrilla aesthetic - that design emphasizes aerodynamic athleticism, like a mountain climber. And imo, that's a much better approximation for what Batman should be. Especially early Batman.
The Zero Year suit is also better than bermejo iml
Yea Bermejo's definitely has what looks like quilted abs and pecs with a feather/cotton stuffing underneath. Reminds me of thisI hate the bermejo suits. To me is looks like pleather and denim, and made by a first time cosplayer who also happens to be blind. Id love a mix between Neil Addams and west suit, but modernized with a silicone or foam latex cowl. Something that can be applied, and then use a regular mask for when he pulls it back/takes it off. No blue just black grey and maybe dark blue or purple on the inside of the cape. The bvs suit is my favorite of all the live action suits.
I think we will get a more tactical suit thst possibly evolves throughout the movie(s) to a full fledge comic book style one.

(I actually like the material for this cowl)
I think a high-quality version of a suit like this (with more detail) would be great View attachment 31046
I know it's eessentially the N52 suit but I think something in this style would be practical enough without looking Guerrilla like Bermejo but still sleek for Pattinson.
I also love this art which looks very similar to the concept I quoted above
