This is just fantastic in every way! It's classic, but with a modern twist.View attachment 31878 View attachment 31877
Took 2 more screenshots. Because it's so blurry it's hard to tell, but you can kinda make out the 1939 ears indeed:![]()
I got the same vibe from that part of the video. I also just love his general shape here. I know a lot of folks think he’s too lean, but this is perfect for me.The more I look at this the more it seems like the 1939 ears. View attachment 31872 View attachment 31873
Okay, the fact that it's covered in fabric makes me like it a little bit more. But why the angular aesthetic? They could have had fabric-covered rigid plates and still had more rounded shapes. Going way back to the criticisms of the Nolan suits here, but I just don't think Batman should ever look so robotic - unless it's for a specific "alternate" suit, rather than the "main" one.
See to me doing a darker version of the West cowl is neat.
I agree. It’s a really, really odd choice here. Something 100% home-made and organic, or as you suggested, fabric covered as an encompassing aesthetic feels like it would absolutely rule. Mashing up Count Dracula and Robocop is just so bizarre. That pic of Adam West’s Head on the Arkham suit body really sums it up. Holding the faith here, but it’s very, very strange.

We've had 8 movies with the traditional, straight-lined ears. What's wrong with doing something fresh for at least one movie?Very disappointing for me if they are the 1939 ears.
I'm open to the idea if it's done well and fits the film. But the way I imagine it - I don't want it.We've had 8 movies with the traditional, straight-lined ears. What's wrong with doing something fresh for at least one movie?
Equally, if it isn't broken, don't fix itWe've had 8 movies with the traditional, straight-lined ears. What's wrong with doing something fresh for at least one movie?
