Here's my semi-regular reminder:
-James Bond
-Indiana Jones
-Black Widow
-Hawkeye
-John Wick
-Rambo
-Sarah Conner
-John McClane
-Ethan Hunt
-Catniss Everdeen
-Nearly every Batman until 1989
-Ninajs (any film)
-Ronan (any film)
None of these "regular" non-superpowered heroes needed armor plating. Why on earth are people, including movie directors, obsessed with giving Batman armor as part of his suit? Armor, to me, suggests weakness and vulnerability. I want a strong, agile, smart Batman who avoids bullets the same way the above roster of heroes does. They sometimes get shot, but rarely. The beauty of fiction.
That's all.
