Anybody think Daniel Greystone will somehow turn out to be the missing Cylon model we never got to see on BSG? I do.

I've actually been thinking about that alot. I think the Final Five might end up basing Number Seven off of Daniel when they create the eight humanoid cylons to end the Cylon war, just like Number One was based off Ellen's father.

That would be an interesting development. But I dont know why they would base 2 of the Cylons on people but the others just create randomly. Unless they reveal they were created from specific people in the Final Fives past.

yeah, I dunno... still a couple of decades away. Possible maybe, but I think it's unlikely.

I dunno man... if that was the case, why wouldn't they make a Zoe model? And free her from her captivity within actual robots. I think it's just a coincidence that they share the name.

As for last night's episode. Again, very good and very interesting. But I'm more interested in the 'intergalactic' liberal family dynamic on the show, than the actual plot. They've already shown us two 'taboo' family arrangements on the show between Polly Walkers multi partner marriage, and now Uncle Adama, the gay mobster. I find this stuff interesting and fringe.

I just wish that the plot/narrative direction was more interesting, than the interesting picture of a futuristic world (in the past), to me. Also, the 10pm slot, coupled with the slower pace of the show is murder.

Yea I did not see Sam Adama being gay at all. That kinda threw me for a loop. But its kool. All Im gonna say though is that the 12 colonies provide one big melting pot of ****ed up culture. But we do to so lol

Gave the pilot episode a watch today and I have to say I will not watch it again. I knew there wouldn't be big battles and it would be more about the people and the creation of the Cylons but I dunno, I just really did not like any of it. It all felt like it was going down obvious paths the whole way, with the exception of the suicide bomber at the begining.

I also laughed at the bit where he just put his daughters mind into the Cylon and the music was like "it's a touching moment" and I was like "hell no it's not, this is where they get their ENTIRE ideas from and leads them to try to wipe out everyone". If this had been before BSG I probably stull would have laughed casue it was just stupid. Sure he wanted her back but it's a giant metal killing machine...

Loved the ending to Friday's episode. "Even it out".

I'm slowly becoming a lot more interested in what all of this means to the future admiral adama. He had a lot of ...f***ed up stuff happen to him before he joined the service.

so having never watched BSG or its spinoff movies and tv shows, I decided to netflix season 1. Hope it's good!

Your in for a treat Mike, Its amazing. So I just realised they have released Season 1 on Blu-ray and i just got it on DVD for Christmas!

Yea Mike your in for a big treat! I just watched the whole series for the first time back a few months ago and its amazing! IMO Seasons 3 and 4 make the entire show. Just absolutely beautiful

I'm hoping they add the BSG series, atleast season 1, to instant viewing soon. I didn't want to jump into the series in it's final season without getting a look at it from the start. I hear nothing but great things about it.

I am, however, watching Caprica. I'm enjoying it alot so far. The city of Caprica looks awesome, a nice blend of what looks nearly like a modern world with a futuristic approach. Again, never watched BSG...so I'm heading into Caprica with fresh eyes.

Greystone receiving a beating was kinda cool, ultimately because he's getting it because of no fault on his part. I didn't expect his wife to say what she said at the memorial.

well, given that the cylon war is like the WWII of the series, accepting Adama into the military wouldn't be a big deal. Moreover, we know that Joseph is gonna have a lot more pull as time goes on.

I totally want to see young adama becoming a full out criminal, before war forces him to clean up his act. Like a Micheal Corleone, who doesn't end up leaving the military once in.

He seems well on his way to a beautiful criminal career.

The way he manipulated his dad into letting him get off easy for skipping school was something.

AGAIN: Can we please have this show moved to an earlier timeslot. It's good, but it's slow, and 10-11 is murder for trying to stay away.

Dammit!! I missed last nights episode. Oh well... I guess it's a good thing Syfy reruns the same episodes like five times a week.

finally got er down. Great epi. Better than the last couple. Loved the developing family dynamics. Especially love how hell bent on revenge the grandmother is. Love the gay brother. And the Amanda/Daniel stuff in this episode was great.

if the episodes keep up with last nights weekly quality, this show should be solid soon enough. The opening episodes were a bit of a drag.

Tonites ep looks like its going to be a good one. But I cant fn wait for next week when we finally get to meet
Barnabus Greely played by James Marsters!!!
Gonna be frakkin awesome! Been too damn long since hes been on a quality series

Oh and who else thought Zoes lil dance in the last ep was the epitome of girl-next-door-sexiness?? Im loving Zoe more n more each ep. Plus Daniel and Amanda on Baxter Sarnoff was amazing.

How is this thread so dead?!?!? Especially after the last 2 episodes. Last nites was great! I am loving this show. Its truly beautiful how they have created a world so similar to ours yet so different. Just the entire society and multicultural aspect is amazing from the group marriages, all the Tauron stuff, drugs being legal and the fact that they actually aknowledge the way V-world effects society is great. This is what great science fiction is all about and this show even though its a BSG spinoff imo is well on its way to being just as magnificent of a show.

Friday just isnt working for me... I keep forgetting its on.

I just saw it like 15 minutes ago. It was a good one. I'm getting a little tired of the Adama story... mostly because Joseph is so impotent right now. Tamara's story was cool, but it lacked movement because it was obvious she was going to be played.

Zoe in the board meeting was kind of cool. She's got this great look of innocence.

My problem with the show right now (other than the late timeslot which I can't seem to remain awake during) is the lack of central narrative. It's time to do something with these wonderful character sketches they've created.

It seems to be moving in that direction, but it's a little meh for me right now

I'm loving it too. I feel like we're being set-up for a fake-out: they're making us think it's Zoe's consciousness/personality that's gonna eventually lead to the rebellion of the Centurions, but I'm starting to think it's actually gonna be Tamara, since she's the virtual being who was "abandoned" by her father, and it looks like she's gonna grow into quite the powerful figure in the V-world.

indeed, I think traits from both will become central in the formation of a cylon conciousness, with cylons believing in the one god, yet being aggresive and violent.

I'm kind of interested in seeing how the Vworld get adapted into cylon projection.
