i was watching it yeasterday and was like go back!!!!!!! and sure enough its hank mccoy. in human form tho. bviously not kelsey grammer. but yeah, i was shocked.

yup, he must be using that image changing machine thingy that he and nightcrawler use, thats the only reason why he had human shape and then now he is the blue "furball"

I think it was just a retcon... but yeah, they give plenty of mention to his appearance in both X2 commentaries. They were even going to have a scene when Dark Cerebro is taking effect where he goes blue or something.
