The best voice acting cast EVER assembled for a X-men show

That was 5 years ago, clearly things have changed and Fox doesn't want to give the media rights to the Kingpin character.

Well how has it changed? How was MTV able to do this with their series?

What you think is irrelevant, its what copy right lawyers think that matters. Marvel has no control over the media rights once they give them away, why should sony allow the rights to Spidey to appear else where, what's in it for them. Marvel doesn't want their piece of the pie to shrink by paying Sony for character who would appear in maybe one episode.

It's ridiculous if you have all these characters appearing together in video games, but you can't have a cameo in an animated series. Why does Sony allow Spider-man to appear in video games with tons of other Marvel characters? Money and merchandising. Same with this series. It's more exposure and play for the character on a kids' show and network.

Irrelevant, Sony has the cartoon rights to Spider-Man, they determine which cartoons he appears in, not Marvel.

Does Sony even have anything to do with the current Spider-man series? They aren't listed as a producer on IMDB.

It just has, Greg Weisman said they can't use Kingpin. About Fox is doing something we don't know about with the character.

Video games are different set of media rights. Even then they couldn't get Punisher in Marvel: ultimate alliance.

Yes because imdb is so trust worthy.

The fact this the spidey cartoon and X-Men cartoon are produced by different companies, so they will not cross over. Thems the breaks. That's the way it is now

IMDB yes normally is trustworthy considering that it's a pretty heavily utilized industry tool. Yes, people post fake crap on there sometimes to be stupid, but it's usually corrected sooner or later. Call it what you like.

I'm also not talking about show crossovers either. I'm saying, use a different Spider-man, but just a cameo appearance by Spider-man.

It won't happen the companies that own the media rights to these characters, jealous guard them nowadays. Greg Wesiman can't use Human Torch or Kingpin in his cartoon, at all, why would spidey be able to appear in this cartoon?

Anyway from the trailer, it looks like Michael Ironside is voicing John wraith.

Hulk appeared in the Fantastic Four cartoon not long ago. So why not.

He was appearing in both Ultimate Avengers animated movies as a featured character. Both movies also aired on Cartoon Network like Fantastic Four.

Yes but those were likely made by the production crew.

Remember the 90s Spidey cartoon and Hulk couldn't appear in the Secret wars arc because he had a toon on UPN. same deal.

Greg Weisman himself said he couldn't use Kngpin or Human Torch on the new Spidey toon, do you know more about cartoons then Greg Weisman?

No I don't. But clearly its not that rigid for every character.

I never said otherwise, indeed I heard rumours that Kyle Hebert tried out for the role of the Hulk on this toon.

But spider-man appearing is very unrealistic.

At the end of the day though, my list was simply a list of voice actors I wanted to play certain characters in the show. When a good chunk of those characters probably won't even be in the show at all. So that's the end of it for me really.

EDIT:

Related to Steven Blum, he is also playing the Green Goblin on Spectacular Spider-man. So just add another one of Marvel's milestone characters to his list.

Great post.

I'm not a fan of the 90's voice cast, and have been very vocal about that. Evolution was a vast improvement for me, minus a few duds (Nightcrawler). This cast seems pretty perfect thus far. But who knows, we haven't heard every character yet.

Steven Blum is great. I mean, the dudes T.O.M. for goodness sake.
I agree, to some extent. Storm's voice was VERY annoying at times. But I LOVED Rogue's voice.

The voice of Rogue on that show also ended up playing Tigra in the short-lived, but HORRIBLE Avengers cartoon some years later.

I'm excited to hear Steven Blum as Wolverine. He does such a great job as the villain on Naruto, I mean I am seriously amazed at his voice acting.

I could care less how popular the voice actors are, as long as they do the job correctly.

Not really how popular they are, but this is afraid how this show has one of the most talented voice over casts working today.

Yuri Lowenthal who plays Iceman, is now the new voice of the older Ben Tennyson on Ben 10 Alien Force.

Well Overlord, Hulk is now confirmed as being in this series as you said there were rumors of people trying out for this character.

That said, I was more right than you in believing this show could use Non-X characters :p .

Yes, but I said Hulk would be in it didn't I

Now spidey shows up in a trailer, then you have a right to gloat. :oldrazz:

Once again, the Spider-man was more of an ideal kind of suggestion moreso than who I expect to play him in the show. If Spider-man were to appear kind of thing ;) .

I wouldn't be surprised if Captain America shows up as well.

FYI, Fred Tatasciore who plays Beast in this series was the voice of the Hulk (but not Bruce Banner) in Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Avengers 2.

So Tom Kane is Magneto? Awesome.

Yeah, sounds very Ian McKellan with a hint of Christopher Lee.

Still, Mr. Herriman is awesomeness.

Xaviers British accent is quite troublesome though. . .

I'm sure people say that about the head of the C.I.A. in American Dad. :P

Don't worry. I know they're two different actors. Though that's probably what they're basing it on.

Who is doing Gambit's voice?
