Age of Ultron The Black Widow Thread

I don't think people always mean "sexy" in the way that some are thinking, **** 'n' ass or whatever. For eg, this look for Vision and the Avengers look for Hulk are much sexier than any regular woman or man can ever hope to get.

I think some people put a bit too much emphasis on the "sexy" aspect any way. I want her to kick ass not look like someone's wet dream.

Totally agreed.

Also, where'd you get that promo art? (It's rad, though I'm not digging those shiny blue knee caps. They seem sort of out of place.)

Wasn't there some claim a while back that her whole suit is electrified for battle now, not just the wrists? I remember reading some sort of report claiming the suit was designed to shock people with kicks and such.

Yeah a Tron-like suit. I remember reading something about the suit being electrified somewhere. Could be crap but I'd be cool with it. Every way of differentiating her helps.

I like the light and electricity idea but I do wish that the light was red instead of blue to match her widow symbol.

I'm diggin' the adjustments to Widow's costume. Looks awesome.

I don't mind her getting an upgrade so that she can deliver her Widow's sting from multiple points on here body rather than just her hands/wrists. It's a tactically sound improvement. Plus it all looks good on her.

I like her Winter Soldier look the most out of all the looks we've got. I really dislike the short bob Whedon keeps bringing back though.

Short hair all the way. It's sexy and practical. "Sorry Clint, but Natasha died when her long flowing hair got caught on something while she was doing her acrobatics and she broke her neck. Oh and the villain grabbed it and used it to throw her around during their fight."

I would say her Avengers hair is most practical for when she's being a superhero but when she's being a spy, the TWS hair is better. Logistically, it is thin and somewhat short so it can be died very quickly or put under a wig easily. It's also long enough to be able to do stuff with it though. (This isn't my idea, saw it on a blog) Also, it is an obviously died red so that when people look at her they think, redhead, and don't pay as much attention to the rest of her so its easier to slip away with a small change. Same thing as Fury, even if the whole world saw him in his black trenchcoat and eyepatch, almost no one would recognize him in a hoodie and sunglasses.
Its a simple principle of disguise, wear something that attracts attention away from what you actually look like so you can disappear in other clothes easily.

I've always kind of wanted a scene where Black Widow goes into a safe room while she's on the run and we see a selection of red wigs in various different style followed by the reveal that she's bald and is always wearing a wig. (This would have the obvious impracticality for a spy of being dependent on a wig hence the "kind of".)

Sometimes I forget she had her uniform on in TWS, being that she's mostly in civilian clothes in the movie.

I agree with those saying her Winter Soldier look is the best. I like the belt change with the Age of Ultron costume though. Not sure how I feel about the blue piping and I still am not a fan of the hair they use there.

I kind of like th ebelt on TWS more as it hits at the right spot, where it makes an hourglass shape for her body, which is the shape of the widow symbol. Also, it was the first outfit of hers to actually be black and not blue/navy.

I wish BW would use her Widow's Sting more than once, but it seems like her bracelets are more for show than for any practical purposes. Now with the stun batons, she will likely ignore her signature weapons completely.

What really bugged me was that she has the bracelets and she used the grapple hook once in TWS but never in Iron Man 2 or Avengers. She could have benefited from it in the final act.

Also that her belt was made for Iron Man 2 but never was used was also kind of a bummer. Especially now that she isn't part of SHIELD.

Short interview with Scarlet on acting from childhood, why she chose to do Black Widow and how if she sings the first line to Carousel on the Avengers set 5 other actors will chime in with the next line. :woot:
