Infinity War The Black Widow Thread

I think you overestimate how much anyone who isn't named Voltron cares about actors running.
I'm into action, and I like seamless stunt work like Evans, Stan, Daisy Ridley in TFA, Rebecca Ferguson in MI: Rogue Nation and Emily Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow and it doesn't pull you out of the movie.

Scarlet is amazing as Black Widow.
People are free to have whatever opinion they wish,
but I truly am surprised there are people who don't like her that much.

And you're pretty much the only person saying Scarjo's running pulls you out of the movie. You do realize how silly this sounds, right?

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against scarjo (I like Girl with a Pearl Earring), but I just don't like her in the role and I don't think she's good in action movies.

Read my entire previous comment again. Her stunt work pulls me out.

I'm not here to defend Voltron, but SJ does run funny. I noticed in The Avengers with the Russians and it was blatantly obvious in the beginning of CW. It was a little bothersome because the transition from the stunt doubles to her isn't organic. She has no athleticism. Funnily enough, I examined her run at the end of the IW trailer too. Dang, I guess it does standout to me. However, I do like SJ and have no real complaints. In hindsight, it is a bit silly.

Scarlett runs okay for me. However I can see somebody finding her funny due to her not being very high for an action heroine.

I've never noticed any problems with Scarlett's running. Heck even after someone mentioned it, I still don't see it (and I can usually pick up on that stuff). So I seriously doubt that anyone who isn't either being hyper-critical/observant, or is looking for things to complain about, is going to notice that. I've certainly never met anyone outside of fan chat boards who's mentioned it, no one.

Now if we want to talk about an action star who I've always noticed runs a bit unusually, Harrison Ford comes to mind. And yet people have no trouble buying him as an action star even into his 70's.

Guys, it's a troll who goes into multiple threads wishing death on Black Widow and spouting conspiracy theories about how Black Widow is to blame for Sharon Carter not getting a big role in these movies.

It's nothing more than bitterness.

And that Sharon obsessed troll has been ESPECIALLY bitter lately because of all the glorious hype the Avengers: Infinity War trailer has been getting.

That troll just can't bear the fact that Sharon isn't involved in all this glorious Infinity War hype, so the troll invades the Black Widow thread and tries to disrupt the relevant conversations about BW to get cheap attention for itself.:loco:

Maybe the Mods need to discipline this troll.

They should have put Scarlett on an intensive running course ahead of this film. It’s such an important part of the Black widow character. I hope she gets cured before the final film and that we get a lot of good running scenes from BW. Maybe a chase scene where she steals the gauntlet and the Black Order and Thanos are all running after her. It could end with the final lap in the Olympic stadium where the Black Order have a relay race against the fastest Avengers with BW on the final leg. ;)

Well i would love to see this Chase on the Sanctuary 2 with BW , similar as the Hulk Chase Scene in Avengers 1 :woot::woot::woot:

Can Pratt go too? :woot:

People here are going on about the running, when I was talking about the running as part of the stunt work as a whole. People are forgetting that Black Widow is suppose to be a super-athletic martial artist, is Chris Pratt's character in Jurassic World, are any of Harrison Ford's characters? No, which is not a comparison.

Also, I just remembered that these are COMIC BOOK MOVIES, so casting a non-athletic person with poor physicality in an athletic role is fine since it's make-believe.

Are you trying to blame Scarlett for the editing of the movie now? :funny:

God this thread is getting desperate.

Now that's how an action star should run! :woo:

But Chris Pratt is an action movie star. Why should we cut him any slack on his running skills? You made a point about Daisy Ridley "...[running] like a real action star" when comparing her to Scarlett, so why are you exempting Pratt's odd technique from such criticism?

Besides, he's hilarious. :lmao:

Yes Pratt runs funny and his character is comedic so I don't consider him playing a "real" action star. And you're comparing Rey a potential Jedi with Owen a dinosaur researcher? Not the same.

Are you trying to blame Scarlett for the editing of the movie now? :funny:

God this thread is getting desperate.
No the stunt work transition between stunt woman and sj which isn't seamless.

I asked those questions just to see what weird justification you would pull out for slamming Johansson and not Pratt. You did not fail. :funny:

Again, how exactly is that Scarlett's fault?

It's the editor's job to fix the transitions.

Those were valid reasons. You're comparing a Jedi and a Martial Artist with a Dinosaur Researcher? :whatever: You're just playing now.

It's beyond the editor's job if your actor and stunt woman's moves don't synch up i.e work together so it's seamless.

You're the one playing dumb.

Even if Scarlett was the worst physical performer in the world, the editor has to make sure that it's seamless, and even before that, the stunt performer would have to make sure it is when it's being filmed.

*sigh* :whatever: the editor can only work with what has been filmed, stunt work has limitations.

Anyway, moving on...

So, now we are spamming Widow's thread with borderline offtop and unnecessary repetitive pics. Seriously?
