MoS is a masterpiece. No one ever backs up criticism of MoS, it's all blanket statements. Under the highest of scrutiny it is flawless.
BvS UC a worthy follow up and makes sense in framing how the core relationships have real events to centre a life long bond together.

I love MoS and the BvS UC. But I still think neither film is even close to flawless. There's a lot of iffy editing and a good number of lines fall flat and some plot points aren't properly executed, MoS would not have gotten a mixed reception if it was flawless and BvS wouldn't have gotten a bad reaction if its only problems were the issues that the UC fixed.

I wouldn't say a masterpiece, but he is right in what he says. Everyone has had complaints on MOS, but most of them have been moronic to say the least. Because they see the action, and ignore the meaning or reasons for it just to get their point across.

Yep this movie was super coherent, most elements echoes one another wich gives a connection and bring emotion. The movie centering on birth symbolism is right on the Jesus figure they are trying to picture.

For exemple i saw many complaint of Pa Kent going gently into this tornado but it's a direct parallels to Jor El coming out the smoke to face Zod. This ryhm with two opposite expression, fighting-letting go, become relevent as Kal El is accepting the death of his parent and he basically through the all movie relive what happened on Krypton, with some opposite expression (the scene with angel music where he is lifted to the ship/terraformer) this is great axis for emotional driven scene and story.

What bother me the most in the movie was the big american production aspect. The movie was well wrote and a great origin movie. I don't care that much for action scenes but i found that they rendered superbly Superman powers and had a great moove/feel to it. It was an epic movie for me with a great emotional core. It felt Super to me, it gave me envy to read more superman comic book, i would have prefered a MoS2 than BvS right away. This movie gave me a boost and i felt great after seeing it, going from little clark with too much sens perception to the reborn figure of a son of the sun. Powerfull to pe.

I think Snyder has a care for details and symbolism, wich seems evident after doing an adaptation of Watchmen, and to me it's something important in a superhero movie, or any movie for that matter, but particuliary appropriate with the mythological aspect of those characte.

I initially gave the TC a 7 or 6, UC is an 8 for me. A lot of the flaws are still there, but the film is much better from a storytelling and pacing viewpoint, it doesn't change things if you hated how violent Batman was, or Jesse's performance, but it at least gives a bit more explanation for their behavior.

Man of steel deserve all its criticisms. It have loads of flaws. BvS even worse.

The crowd reacted at all the right moments, clapped at the end. It was nice to see it with strangers who understood what Snyder was doing.

I just finished the UC and I like it a lot more than the TC. I'd give this about a 5 to 5.5/10, and I at least enjoyed myself more watching a more cohesive story. I like that Clark got more screen time and we got to see where he was coming from when it came to Batman. Editing was better, pacing was a non-issue this time.

However, I still have issues with Lex's plan being nonsensical toward the end, and I don't like how they didn't include Supes trying to locate Martha. Failing to include that made him look stupid going directly to Batman.

This really shouldn't have been rated R, and if this had been released in theaters more people probably would've liked it. It didn't fix many of the issues I had with the TC, but it worked better.
