I like what they did there.I'm most looking forward to the funeral scene as some of you said it is far more effective.

1/6th of a movie being added back in, that's how.I'm so surprised Jon Snepp liked it I'm actually thinking if he is faking it considering how much he hated the TC. Three of those guys see a "Night and Day" difference. How's that possible?
Indeed. The Theatrical works, but it thrives in full context (UC).1/6th of a movie being added back in, that's how.
BvS Ultimate Cut is what should have been for WB if they released it first instead of the theatrical cut. The UC was better for Superman while the theatrical cut benefited Batman. 2 and half hours is not enough to contain three heroes in Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. But regardless the result still remains the same as Superman was defeated by Batman and killed by Doomsday.
Yes Superman was sacrificed in many ways.

Kinda has to be for the fight to be remotely plausible. The only leveling you could use is taking away Supes powers. They sacrificed a lot of good Superman material for Batman's screentime in the film. I wish there was more to the fight between Superman and Batman because it was still one-sided between them.
Why is everyone saying the africa scene is so much better?
I haven't seen it yet but can someone explain what the UC explains more in it?
Watched Ultimate Edition. What a gorgeous, grand and epic film. I will love it forever. That being said, my summary is this:
My score remains the same - 7/10. Means my rating for TC goes lower to 6/10. My favorite improvement - Clark was edited back, he's a genuinely good person in this film, who tries to do the best. His motivations are explained and IMO work as intended. The film is really improved in the first half, while the second half remains mostly the same, safe the funeral sequence and the communion scene. There's some superfluous stuff, that wasn't really needed, but it doesn't take away from the film and fleshes the world a bit. Also makes the film a bit slower.
My problems with the film. It does little to explain what Luthor wanted to do with the ship and creation of Doomsday. Monkey with a grenade doesn't really suit the character of Luthor. Some illogical stuff and plot holes hold this film back too. Second half of the movie is quite clumsy at times.
My scores for other CBMs this year: Deadpool - 8/10, Captain America: Civil War - 8/10, X-Men: Apocalypse - 4/10.
I don't care about spoilers but what exactly is added? I won't be able to watch the UC for a bit so i'm just curiousIts plays into lexs plan and how everything fits. It makes the movie flow better. Its amazing how a few seconds of a cut scene can change the whole outlook of the movie. Im amazed they cut the final scene withshould have been in the movie.batman and lex talking about arkham asylum.

Lex creating Doomsday is not a "plot hole". He creates Doomsday in order to kill Superman. If you follow his motivation "you can not be all powerful and all good" then this is his only move.
Think of the alternative. Superman beats Batman (the likely outcome in Lex's mind). That would mean he successfully has demonised Superman for killing someone but still has to deal with Superman. He asks the scout ship how to kill Superman ("create Doomsday") and that's what he does.
Does he really think that Doomsday will go and destroy the world? No. he thinks he might be able to gain control over it since it has his DNA, and he was willing to risk it because his plan was already in motion.
Plus, Doomsday is the living embodiment of being "all powerful, but not all good."
So whatever outcome, he proves he is right.
Except he can not predict that Batman and Superman would resolve their difference, save Martha, and get support from Wonder Woman.

Anyone else think the Communion scene completely ruins the mood?
I can see what you mean, but I'm glad it's there. Actually seeing Lex getting captured is rather important to me.Anyone else think the Communion scene completely ruins the mood?
