hmm I'm getting that Gambit will be the "Wolverine" in this film and will play a foil to who ever is cast as Cyclops...I'm also thinking he is going to be flirting with Jean and probably won't see his friendship w/Storm develop. It'll be a missed opportunity since they both have thieves background....

but with his casting I think it's safe to say that they're going a young Scott, Jean and Storm ageing from 18-23?

I wouldn't mind if they pushed them just a little older to maybe mid-twenties. They can fudge with the ages a little bit since there's nothing concrete saying when they were born or how old they are.

Would it be TOO far fetched if Gosling managed to pull off an excellent German accent? I don't know why, but I'm gravitating to the idea of him as Nightcrawler... if by ANY CHANCE or WAY Cummings could come back, GREAT!!! But I enjoy the idea of Gosling has Kurt: drench him in blue with elf ears and a tail... he LOOKS like Nightcrawler. t: And with Joaquin Phoenix back with us, I dare say he would make an excellent Mister Sinister if the character were to be finally cast in film.

They may seem like over the top choices that could probably never happen, but why not?

If the beginning of The Last Stand is set in 1980 (where Jean is 14), well, Jean could be 20 in 1986.
We can also assume Scott was 20 years old in Origins and he ended in high school very late (he's an orphan).
Despite those events have been erased by the new timeline, their ages are not supposed to change at all.

So now that we’re moving past making fun of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past and into appreciating the character in this cinematic universe, writer/producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed to Total Film that Evan Peters will “absolutely” be returning to reprise the role in X-Men: Apocalypse.

And is there a chance we’ll be seeing Scarlet Witch as well? Turns out, the idea of her almost made it into Days of Future Past, but was cut last minute. Looks like the twins may be reunited in 2016.

It's my favorite show on TV right now. There's a lot of quality actors in it.

But Hafthor is a terrible choice for Apocalypse though. Unless he just do the mocap.

What makes anyone think Cable or sinister will be In film.Or Psylocke for that
matter.

We have 4 confirmed characters with 1 likely we know to be cast-Apocalypse,Cyclops,Jean,and Storm for sure and Nightcrawler a strong possiblty.
If Bryan Singer does indeed direct it then Deadpool Is a possibilty

The filmakers have strongly hinted that time travel won't be involved with Apocalyse.Thus If Angel Is In Apocalypse it will be teenage version In 1983
and that would be if writers go with the anyone not seen In ending of DOFP Is fair game to be seen In DOFP.

As for Storm halle Berry still played her at end of DOFP and if Simon Kinberg's some of original trilogy cast In Apocalypse means besides Hugh jackman and
Possibly Patrick Stewart then you can't count out Berry.You need someone you could buy at least somewhat becomes Storm seen at end of DOFP when she gets older.

The article is only a fun fan suggestion article and isn't saying all 12 of those characters have to are will be in the movie. It's just fun, stop taking it so seriously.

Sinister being in this movie, or at least teased, makes sense seeing as he's been Apocalypse's right hand man off and on for quite some time. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ended up being a post-credit stinger much like Apocalypse was in DOFP.

Cable and Psylocke make sense only because Apoc has been the main villain for X-Force for quite a while. Although I would assume they would save both of them for an actual X-Force movie since they both make more sense on that team than the X-Men team proper. Same for Angel but he joined the team well after his transformation into Archangel so they could use a young pre-transformation Warren.

Could be a great way to spin-off X-Force if they added Warren to the team and had him as a horseman.

First Class : Xavier and Lenhsherr assembled young mutant to stop Hellfire Club. DOFP : Xavier and Logan try to change future. So no x-men yet but a x-men project was thinking by Charles, a mutant team he will create to protect humans who fear them

I've been a huge proponent of GOT cast members being in an X-movie for some time now. There's not one single person in that cast that isn't an extremely talented actor.

Sophie Turner, Kit Harrington, Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, Richard Madden, Iwan Rheon, Joe Dempise - I could see them all as potential X-Men.
