The Catwoman/Selina Kyle Casting Thread - Part 1

If we get the darwyn cook suit then they need to add some complexity to it as it is a little plain to me, things like a utility belt for her tools as well as other details would let it keep its simplicity but ward off it looking too plain. I also agree that they should connect the cowl and the rest of the suit together as it always looks weird when they are separate.

Most definitely agree with that end bit. I've always felt it's a huge mistake to not connect the cowl to the rest of the suit. It just doesn't ever seem to work out.

I can't think of one instance where it was done and it actually looked good.

They could definitely add some details but don't go overboard. She doesn't need cat symbols on everything though. (Like zipper tags, belt buckle, etc.)

Yeah there's no need for Cat Logos to be everywhere though I wouldn’t mind one as the utility belt connector although it isn’t a must, the details should be more along the lines of seam lines, two toning so that it is variations of different blacks and greys, a small backpack so she has a reasonable place to store what she steals instead of having to constantly carry it in hand or put it in that Hammer space she’ll occasionally have.

What happened to Anne Hathaway? How come she looks so old now with a double chin? What did you do to her? It's like Selina's mother decided to dress up in the costume instead.

Love both but gotta agree here. Just imo, anyway, Lena would be a better fit for this character than Eva. Her look is literally perfect for Selina.

Ugh. I don't like that pattern at all. It makes it look too busy and trying too hard. Just have a simple black leather (or whatever colour it's going to be - grey or purple). And it looks like there are too many straps and segments. It would end up like the Netflix DD costume.

Ugh. I don't like that pattern at all. It makes it look too busy and trying too hard. Just have a simple black leather (or whatever colour it's going to be - grey or purple). And it looks like there are too many straps and segments. It would end up like the Netflix DD costume.

Sometimes less is more.

I'll have to disagree with you there, a one color suit with no graphic design on it will look terribly plain and boring as can easily be seen when it is done like that in comics such as in that Darwyn Cook image posted above, with the suit I posted being right in that Goldilocks zone of not too simple and not too busy.

It does look too busy though. That honeycomb pattern looks too prominent and distracting.

I don't find it to look plain at all. Actually, I'd much prefer it if they keep the suit itself simple. Some sort of utility belt and perhaps even a small backpack should be enough to break it up a bit.

She was Sara(h) Connor in the Terminator TV show. It's been so long so I don't remember how good it is, but I also don't remember having any problems with it or even noticing she wasn't American (since that was the first time I saw her in anything).

I genuinely didn't know Headey spoke with an accent before GoT.
She's the only other Sarah Connor worth watching.

Michael Wilkinson doesn't work outside the Snyder films does he? I'd love to see his take on Batman villains. I like to imagine his Catwoman design looking like that image above.
