When it comes to favorite actors, Bale wouldn't even be on my top ten list. Hell, I'm not even sure if he'd be in the top 20. I'm defending him because, unlike some people, I'm not going to pretend that I've never acted inappropriately due to being angry. I definitely have. And I've never met a person that hasn't at some point in their life. Still, I guess some people get a kick out of acting holier-than-thou.This thread will reach 3000 pages with people giving excuses for bale because hey, "he is mah favouritez actor and played teh batmanzors" and the rest will try to explain how any employee would have gotten fired for a behaviour like that. But bale is a hollywood diva now...
agreedI'm not gonna mention any naaaaames, but I think throwing phones at people is worse than ranting at them.![]()
well from the movie sets i was lucky enough to witness the language can most oftenly described as crude/ crass. it would easily offend most folks but to them its normal. ah well. i guess thats why they need publicists. This was from June, so it's shortly before the Dark Knight premiere & alleged incident with his mom & sister. Not to excuse the guy (a tantrum is a tantrum), but he was probably stressed the frak out. I saw him at a talk with Nolan the week of the premiere and he looked really tired.
My guess is that stuff probably happens plenty on sets, just to a lesser degree.
(What an awesome business!)
And the remix is pretty great.
LoL, yeahOn the contrary... this proves Bale is the ONLY person of truly portraying Batman
I'm defending him because it's very well known how seriously he takes his job. The man lost a life-threatening 68 lbs for his role in The Machinist for Pete's sake, and if someone fooled around on THAT set, I'd completely excuse him for losing his cool. Of course, he probably didn't have enough energy at that time, but anyway. When it comes to favorite actors, Bale wouldn't even be on my top ten list. Hell, I'm not even sure if he'd be in the top 20. I don't think Michael Caine would have ever given him a reason to act like that. Still, none of us were there that day, so it's hard to say if Bale was justified in being angry with him. No matter what the case, I think people here are overreacting to Bale's... overreacting. What he did was inappropriate, yes, but was it unusual? No. People lose their temper all the time. It happens. Everyone here has done or said something embarrassing while angry that they wish they could take back. Bale was just unlucky enough to do it while a tape was rolling.

If he's serious enough about his job to lose 68 lbs, it wouldn't surprise me if he expects everyone around him to take it that seriously as well. That's probably why he and Nolan work so well together.![]()
I don't think it's sanctimonious to point out that the man is doing something we've all been guilty of at some point. Sure, not everyone is guilty of having a reaction that extreme when angry, but like I've said before, we've all acted inappropriately at some point while angry. No, I think being sanctimonious would be to say things like there's "no excuse" for how he behaved, he's a diva, etc. I seriously doubt the people saying these things would have wanted the same level of scrutiny and judgment applied to them at times in their life when they lost their cool. That's how it works. Politicians, actors, musicians, athletes, celebs. Western culture is obsessed with these figures. Its normal that this is spreading all across the web and everyone's passing judgment and either excusing Bale's behavior b/c he's method acty having a bad day or claiming he was out of line. Please don't sanctimoniously make the argument that people are blowing this out of proportion.
I'd guess not. Many people forgive & forget. Many more just forget.Does anyone else worry that this will affect the casual viewer's necessary sympathy for batman in the next film? I mean, the whole Mum/sister incident was ambiguous enough to slide, but this certainly isn't.
This is becoming the latest internet fad real quick.![]()

I would have LOVED, LOVED to see him pull this ***** with cameron, spielberg, or aronofsky. Shoot, Darren even told Rourke "look dont you dare disrespect me in front of my crew, dont even think about it

So anyway, i have a request to make. Can someone who has some video skills make a video with Maroni's interrogation but with Bale's audio? That would be awesome! Imagine Batbale breaking maroni's legs and telling him that he will trash his lights, etc. Hahahaha!
Just make sure you PM it around and not post it here because the mods are against this kind of language.
Who knows? McG could've said to reshot the scene, but instead Bale goes off, and instead of agreeing with his hysterical rant, he just acted like he didn't see it, so the scene could get done quicker.I doubt he would have been able to get into that situation under the likes of them in the first place though, as a good director runs a tight ship. McG obviously doesn't This reflects almost as badly on him as it does Bale.

No, he's the goddamn Batman.
"YOU ARE TRASHING MY SCENE!!!"
Oh, that Bale's rant had more memorable quotes than my sig can afford.t:
That "goddam Batman" thing doesn't worth a penny now.![]()
