The Dark Knight The Christian Bale/Bruce Wayne thread

haha, that speech was great at the beginning of the party

"When Rachel told me she was dating Harvey, I said, 'That guy from those god-awful campaign commercials?' I believe in Harvey Dent? C'mon..."

I liked the little touch after the speech to Harvey when they show Bruce outside tossing the champane over the ledge...

I love the interrogation part as well. He is beating the crap out of the joker and the joker is just taking it and laughing the whole time--- "theres nothing you can threaten me with!"
You can see the anger in Bale's face. Awesome scene. Then your like oh sh** when he prys the door shut with the chair!
aaaaaaaaaaah i love that movie.
Saw it for the 4th time yesterday night :oldrazz: trying to score tickets for the IMAX but they are sold out here!!!!! :csad:

Didn't think about it until now but...someone on the streets of Gotham was hoping it was actually champagne that hit them

Man, Bruce really clowned Harvey at times, and it was entertaining, but I kind of felt bad for Harvey at times.

so did i. especially the part when he is at bruce's party and he doesnt want rachael to leave him alone. poor harv :csad:

Whether its true or not, news outlets are already portraying that Christian Bale horrendously beat his family. When there is no legitimate proof as such. Sorry but that's wrong.

No wonder Bale is really uncomfortable with handling the media...

The media are just a complete bunch of *****e bags...

Its sad how people read so much into it!!! I can only wait now---people not liking him cuz of this and tieing the movie into it :whatever: Fact of the matter is no one was there--obviously it must not have been that urgent if they waited to contact the police about it. i think they just wanted to get back at him

Its all just a load of BS

You guys won't believe this, but during that scene I actually thought Batsy was going to kill the Joker.

Leno started his monologue with the Bale incident. He said he saw a line for Batman again but this time it was a lineup. Then he said his mom and sister were rumored to be working with the Penguin. Finally, he said that in the police report guests next door were reported to have heard "pow" "bam" "poof" from Bale's suite.

God, Leno is such a *****e. Now even more people will think Bale was arrested for physical assault instead of verbal assault. I'm sure Leno didn't happen to say Bale was never charged. This makes me sick that Bale, the most private actor in Hollywood, is now the butt of late night talk show jokes.

Yea that pisses me off!! The guy was terrified as a child from the media. If the media keeps at it, I can see Bale losing control. Then they will make him out to be more of a bad guy. I'm backing him up. Anytime I hear someone talking **** about Bale on the street I'm punching them right in the face.

lol i concur!!! Im all about kickin a** man! I totally cuda seen myself being one of those that tried to help the batman---hockey pads and all :woot:

seriously though--the media hyping this incident up is BS. people enjoy tearing others down--more so than they do congratulating the good that people do.

Christ people, it's one of the many millions of jokes on a late-night show. They always exaggerate/lie in order to get a laugh. Let's not get all sensitive just because he's our Batman.

You can get arrested for verbal assault? Thats kind of stupid. I've always enjoying yelling at friends and cutting people down for being there.

i felt bad for harvey too :( he loved rachel and now shes gone.. not that i mind that.. lol.. but he does. And bale im 100% on his side! Not that he cares, but its the principle of the matter lol.

yea, unfortunatley you can be arrested for verbal assault!!!!! Usually though--its more so for the cops--you know when you get the dumba** thats talking mad sh** or is "threatening". But usually when it comes to males assualting females in any way-------its not taken too lightly. Its not fair IMO-----but hey--thats our society and its "rules".

I just heard on Good Morning America that reports are circulating that Bale has been wound up b/c of marital problems and the death of Ledger. I don't believe any of that but it sucks that everything is going to get twisted now in order to get a story.

ive read that his mother said he pushed her! pushed her!! now it is bad doing that to your mother but seriously is it really a arrestable offence to push someone!?!?! we got all these stabbings in the uk and no one getting arrested and then when a world famous star pushes someone other he gets arrested!! makes what the joker said seem to make sense!

Its a little backwards to arrest someone just to question them without charging them.

Now reports are saying that what happened was that Bale's mother insulted Bale's wife. As a result, Bale cursed out his mother.

Bale wanted to leave the home but felt trapped due to the swarm of paparazzi and fans outside.

They also add that this is coupled with him still reeling over the death of Heath Ledger.

Okay, is it just me or would Bale's John Connor voice (from the trailer) make a much better Batman voice?

I thought Bale was incredible in this film again. He gets a lot of grief from some people because he doesn't portray 'their' idealistic Batman. For me, he is extremely close to what I would love to see and couldn't have asked for a better combo of Bruce/Batman.

The one scene which stood out for me (and I mentioned this in the Rachel Dawes thread) is when Batman opens the doors to find Harvey. For that split second you can see the reaction on Batman's face and how disappointed he is in a sense to only find Harvey instead of Rachel. It's like at that moment he knew he let her down. If you missed it in the film, I would recommend paying EXTREME attention at that point again. It happens for a split second and is just heartbreaking.
