You may not like them in real life, but I just wanted to show appreciation to a great type of film

Training Day is my 12th favorite film of all time

Ive never heard of Dragnet

I haven't sen that many cop films, but I have enjoyed every Lethal Weapon film but 3.I found that one dull.

I watched a bit of Bad Boys I and II at a friend's house the other day. What utter ****. Can't believe I used to like them.

Nah, The Rock is Bay's best.

But great thread. The cop genre is one of my top three favorites in films. Rather than television where we get the same old thing, I never get tired of a great cop film.

My favorite Cop Films:

The Dirty Harry Franchise (from Dirty Harry to The Dead Pool)

Die Hard 1 & 2 (didn't care that much for 3 & 4)

Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 (#3 was okay except for a weak ass villain, #4 was just crap)

Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects

Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2

The Untouchables

The Naked Gun Franchise

Loaded Weapon 1

Dragnet

Alien Nation

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I might post more later.

must hate comedy

bad boys is some awesome movies

michael bay's best stuff imo

You're kidding, right? Those films must be the most naive, childish, unnecessarily mean-spirited cop flicks out there. I'm all for entertainment as much as any other guy as long as it doesn't give me an aneurysm.

Dragnet was a comedy TV show made into a movie with Dan Akroyd and Tom Hanks.

Actually....DRAGNET was a serious TV show turned into a comedy movie.

My absolute favorite cop films are still Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 then its a tie between Die Hard and LA Confidential.
