Nah, The Rock is Bay's best.

But great thread. The cop genre is one of my top three favorites in films. Rather than television where we get the same old thing, I never get tired of a great cop film.

The Dirty Harry Franchise (from Dirty Harry to The Dead Pool)

Die Hard 1 & 2 (didn't care that much for 3 & 4)

Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 (#3 was okay except for a weak ass villain, #4 was just crap)

Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects

Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2

The Untouchables

The Naked Gun Franchise

Loaded Weapon 1

Dragnet

Alien Nation

You're kidding, right? Those films must be the most naive, childish, unnecessarily mean-spirited cop flicks out there. I'm all for entertainment as much as any other guy as long as it doesn't give me an aneurysm.

My absolute favorite cop films are still Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 then its a tie between Die Hard and LA Confidential.
