The CW's THE 100

Damn that was a good finale! :wow: I hope Finn and Bellamy found cover in the tunnels before the blast. Also, really happy that there's more than one group of survivors on Earth. We've got the Grounders, the Reapers (that look to be mutated cannibals) and the now the mountain men.

They were supposed to land near Mount Weather in the first episode, right? So, I guess some of the survivors on Earth found it first.

This show is so lame on so many levels but I still watch it. lol

I really like some elements of the show like the Grounders, Mountain Men, and Reavers. I also like Lincoln, Octavia, Finn, Raven, Cain, and the Chancellor.

I really really hate Jasper, Bellamy, Clarke and her mom. I am wishing for their deaths every episode but I know it is not going to happen. It's because of those four characters that ruins the show for me.

The finale was pretty good. Using the rocket blast to kill the Grounders was awesome. Using the Reavers against the Grounders was also a great move. I'm curious to see what the Mountain Men are about. They seem to have a lot of usable tech and facilities.

confirmed regulars for season 2?

Jason Rothenberg said on twitter that the people who made this poster don't know what happens in season 2. Not sure what that means, exactly.

First...I just want to say that I avoided this show for a while. I thought it was going to be another dumb teens love-triangle-twilighty thing. I was so, so wrong. Oh my gosh. This show is fantastic! My wife and I got through the season really fast. BLOWN away by that ending!!! I'm really impressed. It's a good mix of Battlestar Galactica and Lost. Really into the characters too.

I'm highly anticipated season 2. Anyone know when it starts? Early 2015?

No surprise there. Seemed he was headed that way towards the end. Jaha on the other hand I'd bet is not returning.
Great news!. I think jaha will some how survived. he cant die he is the only black character on the show..

Lincoln is..er...kinda black. =P

I'm sure there will be plenty of other races mixed in. But the main reason I feel Jaha won't return is because I really felt they were grooming Abby and Kane to be the new leaders. Kane especially has his character changed significantly over the course of the first season. The last scene when he was willing to sacrifice himself really was the final aspect of a good leader that he took on.

At this point I feel including Jaha would sort of wipe out some of that growth.

I'm impressed at Jaha's ability to stick to the floor, given that the ring had stopped rotating and there'd be no gravity to hold him down, or the whisky in his cup for that matter.

Lol, I said the same thing to my wife when we were watching.

I found it amusing that everyone considered Finn an expert 'tracker' . . . despite the fact that he had spent his entire life on a manmade space station!

Maybe he was good at tracking down fresh rolls when he ran out of toilet paper. :yay:

It had something to do with specific classes Finn took on the Ark, I believe.

Ahh - I missed that detail somehow.

I guess it would make sense to have the 100 kids take some kind of survival courses . . . but it seems like they herded them into the dropship without much instruction or preparation for life on the ground.

I think it is part of kids education while growing up.

I wish they had showed us an adjustment period for the 100 on the planet. These people have never been on a planet. The boundary less environment would have given at least a few of them agoraphobia. The gravity should be stronger than on a space station making it difficult to move around easily. The air would be different filled with pollen and other stuff they aren't used to breathing. The ground would be tough to walk on. There should have been more issues from eating and drinking the indigenous flora, fauna, and water.

I'm not saying focus on these things for very long but make the planet seem even more foreign to the returning humans.

Raymond J. Barry (Training Day) is set as a recurring on the CW’s The 100. Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Barry will play Dante Wallace, a passionate painter and leader. Barry is represented by Bob McGowan and Tom Markley at Metropolitan Talent Agency.
Gotta be the oldest actor they've ever hired for a CW show. :funny:

The second season of The CW's #The100 will consist of 16 episodes in order to tell a tight story. #TCA14

Im down for that. I used to want tv shows to be as long as they could be but nowadays I want them to be shorter.

Back when the stories were more or less bottle episodes longer seasons were fine but now with more continuous and sequential stories it is better if they go the shorter route instead of throwing a bunch of filler episodes at us inbetween the story eps.

'The 100' at Comic-Con 2014: Cast, creator tease Season 2
By Sydney Bucksbaum
Jul 25th, 2014

"The 100" fans gathered for a panel at Comic-Con 2014 on Friday (July 25), and they were treated to a sneak peek of the Season 2 premiere. The footage showed Clarke breaking out of her white room in Mount Weather, attacking a young girl who was cleaning Monty's empty room (Where did he go? Is he okay?), and when she gets onto an elevator and reaches level five, she looks around with wide eyes. "Where the hell am I?" she wonders, and the camera cuts before we could see what she's seeing.

After watching the scene, the panel, featuring executive producer Jason Rothenberg and cast members Eliza Taylor, Isaiah Washington, Marie Avgeropoulos, Ricky Whittle, Devon Bostick and Lindsey Morgan, began. Here are all the highlights from the panel:

Finn and Bellamy: Alive or dead?

Sorry, Finn and Bellamy fans, no one was giving up any spoilers about whether one or both leading men survived the Season 1 finale. Rothenberg wants you to experience the premiere with all its surprises intact.

New romance?

Don't look for more love triangles to sprout on the dark and life-and-death show. "Probably more like casual survival sex," Rothenberg says. "The love story is important and has its place for sure but icing on the cake is a strong word for it. It's more about survival but romance will come."

Jaha's expiration date

Will Jaha survive in Season 2 and make it to the ground? Washington wouldn't say anything besides this: "It will be special, it will be special."

No, seriously, that's all he would say. About anything.

Linctavia

While traveling with Lincoln, Octavia is going to find herself requesting safe passage, calling the 100 the "space crew," to a mysterious group that speaks a form of English Creole. Who is she requesting safe passage from? That's something we'll find out at the beginning of Season 2, and Avgeropoulos showed off the new language during the panel. It sounded awesome.

Mount Weather

What is the deal with the Mountain Men and what they're hiding in Mount Weather? Rothenberg promises we'll find out soon, and it won't be what you expect. "We'll understand why these people are fighting so hard to maintain this little patch of Eden," Rothenberg says.

Why didn't the Mountain Men approach the 100 when they first landed? "I don't think the people in Mount Weather necessarily knew they were there until they blew up the bridge in episode 10," Rothenberg says. "That was the iconic image of the end of the world that the Mountain Men would have grown up fearing. So that was the moment that woke the sleeping giant."

The 100 vs. the grown ups?

Now that the Ark landed on Earth, expect the grown ups to butt heads with the 100. "We started with a 'Lord of the Flies' scenario and now with the grown ups on the ground, the story changes fairly significantly," Rothenberg says. "The 100 who used to fight each other is now a band of brothers hardened by this environment."

"The 100" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
