There is so much wrong with his statements. But just one of the multitude of stupid things is the illogical syllogism of “we have a mental health crisis in this country” and “we need less medication to treat it.”

It reminds me of my dad, who was a really great man, but who had the really bad and uninformed belief that if you had bad eyesight and you wore glasses, that your eyes would get used to the glasses and you would get addicted to them. That take wasn’t my dad’s best moment.

But I guess this is the same administration that said that if we just stopped testing for COVID, the diagnoses would go down.
