I was wondering the same thing. Here ya go everybody. Enjoy!

dont blame it on the ebayers blame mattel for not noticing that their most popular line is such a limited stock, also blame mattel for lying thats right lying and saying that if there mm line was a succes then they would make more and have more. i dont believe that they are deliberatly selling those crappy basic figures with the neon colors, seriously what kid wants a batman with a non movie acurate assortment.

How are they lying when they're releasing WAVE TWO of the MM figures?

You do realise that it's NOT Mattel's fault that it's sold out, they will have made adequite numbers of stock for it, it will be Shippers/Workers/Scalpers/********s that have made it sold out, the people that don't put them out for sale in the store, the people that have a few of the toys accidently fall out a box, the scalpers who KNOW it's going to make them money, and the people who buy 5 of every toy.

Mattel responded badly, yes, they did not lie, they obviously saw how popular the MM line was, and have got new figures coming out.

They can't just click their fingers and have a new line RIGHT THERE, they need to be designed, sculpted, tested to safety standards, then made in china, shipped to another country for painting, another for packaging THEN sent back to Mattel to be sent out around the world, you really think that can happen like *that*?

There has been, what I would say, is a feasible amount of time between the 1st and 2nd wave of MM figures.

Even if they had the figures already made, they wouldn't release them AS SOON AS some of the MMs sell out, they wouldn't make more of them, since they're made in Waves, you get one wave that's it.

Wave one gets sold out? Tough. Buy it from eBay.

youre so right man, i couldnt find the joker and i had to resort to going to ebay to get it and it was the first day they came out.

If don't have a MM joker don't worry the next assortments have lots. Scarecrow will be limited initially but it too will be readily available. I read some newspaper articles about how the demand for the first assortment of MM figures resulted in the manufacturer being out of stock. Perhaps they decided to hold back supplies till close to the movie date. To make sure that they had stock for the movie and and the months after.

I was wondering what happened to the scarecrow 2 TRU 2 pack but reading this board leads me to believe it sold out online.

Anyway has anyone bought the 2 pack tumblers in the 4 inch line. Do you know if these tumblers are diecast and in the 1:55 scale as the hotwheels release earlier?

tonight I got a 76cm/30" tall TDK Batman figure. I couldnt believe how big it was when I saw it. When it stands on the floor it's equal to my hips.

I'll post some pics in the morning.

Where did you purchase that 30" Batman from? I missed out on the Begins version of this and would like to get the TDK one for my kids.

They are hitting TRU first with the price of $49.99

There is no sign that this is an exclusive yet.

Nice. I've got the Begins version. I hope they release this in Australia.

Just answered my own question! 10 minutes after posting this a catalogue came with it in it. Now the proud owner of a TDK 30" Batman. Pics coming.

Well, here are the pics

Image 1 & 2 show Batman boxed. Image 3 shows my 12" TDK figure looking slightly dwarfed sandwiched between the Begins and TDK Batmans. The last pic shows a perspective comparison between the 12"/30cm TDK Batman and the 30"/76cm TDK Batman. They compare fairly well.

30"/76cm TDK Batman

Positives:
  • Good detail - just like the Begins one the detail is very nice.
  • Size - well, they're massive. 5 times as tall as the Movie Masters figures and 2.5 times as tall as the 12" figure.
  • Proportions - the Begins 30" figure has some issues with proportions (head a little small, waist thin etc) but not on the TDK one. Better proportioned than the 12" inch too.
  • Hand movement - Begins version hand no hand movement
  • Likeness - looks more like Christian Bale than Begins version
  • Price - retails for $80 Australian, but I got mine on special for $42 AUS. It was cheaper than the 12" and only a little more than 2 Movie Masters figures.

Negatives:

  • Cape - material not as good as Begins version - shows some light through. Also not removable likes Begins version.
  • Body movement - Begins version allows body to rotate side to side, TDK version does not
  • Utility belt - no silver highlights on belt
Overall rates as the best TDK figure I'll end up with, and definitely my favourite Batman toy so far.

i bought it at Kmart in australia. Regular price is $80, i got it on sale for $43

Same here, got it at my local Kmart this morning. Not sure if you know, but if you're after the Hyper (movie masters) figures head to your local Target. They have been the only type of store I've found them in and they've only got two cases so far. Keep your eyes on the lookout!

I almost bought the Action Cape Batman from Target tonight. I dunno. For a split second I almost bought the 4" two-pack of Batman and The Joker but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm sorry but I absolutely hate the kiddie version figure of The Joker. I'll definitely be being the next set of MM's though. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a Thug when I had to chance cause even those are going for like $25 now. The new paint app for The Joker has its pros and cons. I think the mouth scar is way better but I think the eyes and the sculpt of the brow (maybe it's not re-sculpted, but it kinda looks like it to me) are kinda meh. I'll definitely get one though just so I at least have a Joker to go along with my TDK Batman.
