I almost bought the Action Cape Batman from Target tonight. I dunno.

I recommend getting the 12" figure instead if you can. In Australia it goes for $49.95 AUS as opposed to the action cape Batman at $44.95 AUS. The sculpt is way better and looks rubberized as opposed to the action cape figure which is all gloss black plastic. My opinion of course, but if you're looking at buying one the 12" figure is better value.

nobodys making anything up its just information from various sources that arnt really correct i think.

Which is the 12" one? The Action Cape's only $17.99 at Target here, that's why I was considering it. But all the ones they had looked like someone dropped all the boxes face first cause all of the figures had marks on the tips of their noses.

It actually has a pic comparing the two. You can see the difference in quality between them. Out here in Australia my Toys R Us has heaps of them for $49.95 and the review says Toys R Us in the US either have or will be getting them for around $30. IMHO well worth the price difference. Hope that helps.

no but i was about to ask about it, man after readin all these posts im glad i got my Movie Masters batman when i first saw it.. i was at wal-mart one day with my little brother , and back then the ironman hype was still around
i saw the batman section and saw the movie masters and i go, hmm maybe i should get it now, cause i knew sooner or later this things would be off the shelves. having experienced it before with the famous Bumblebee 09 concept camaro toy. that thing was nowhere to be found.

some store websites are getting more figures already
there is a 3 pack of TDK Batman, Joker and ScareCrow comming out:

a 2 pack of Batman Begins Batman and Scarecrow(i couldn't get the picture)

and a 2 pack of TDK Batman and Joker:

I know some of these have been seen before but recently websites of certain stores have posted these up which means they either have them now(and soon collectors will be rushing to get them like a pack of raviging wolves) or that they will be getting them soon.
honestly the only thing i hate about toys is how toy collectors can be so darn unfare by getting more than one figure for there greedy selves to keep or sell to toher ppl and make money off of others
and honestly if anyone is willing to sell a MM figure of Batman(TDK costume) and Joker i would be willing to buy but as long as it is the price that stores such as Wal-Mart and Target are selling them for. i would never pay those ridiculous prices that ppl are selling them for online, i don't care how much i want or how rare they will be.

I'm not 100% sure of this but i don't think the 2 and 3 packs of the movie master figures come with the accesories that they have when u buy them by themselves.

just go to ebay and search for joker movie masters and see how much theyre up for. i spent a little over 10 bucks for mine.

and also, I had totally missed out on this thread, I checked the first post and am stoked. Obviously the hype for these figures is ridiculous now, so they've got to follow suit and make more figures like gordon, hell I'd even buy an alfred. maybe a maroni, preferably multiple jokers to fit the multiple versions. god imagine a

whoa I did not see that...goes to show 'subject to change'. they just made it into a chase figure, or perhaps intend on making it a regular figure with a swappable head in the future waves after they tested it to see how well they were received.

Mattel will totally **** this up. They are infamous for needlessly ****ing themselves out of money by poorly distributing their own product. Look at what happened to their Masters of the Universe toys that were revived in '02. They totally ****ed themselves.

hey man, figure out when the release dates are for wave 2, try and grab the chase and sell em on ebay. no ones going to blame you, if you need the cash then any means that isnt murdering or stealing is fine by me at least. u'll spend 15 bucks max at a TRU or something and come back with maybe a 100 bucks. I dont mean to promote scalping but in this particular case i dont see why not.


and i hope people read this, regarding the movie-masters three pack, well apparentlyh its not MOvie masters at all but a joker, batman and scarecrow from the five inch line without any accessories. what a rip off. someone ordered them thinking it was MM but instead they got five inchers. check the merch thread in the TDK non spoilers I think for the whole scoop or a few pages back in this thread. be careful and double check to make sure its a MM and not five inch line or I feel like you'll be shaking your fists to no avail at Mattel and their distributors.

The 8th makes sense because didn't the first wave come out on a Tuesday as well? And I think they'd want these out before the movie comes out since the hype is at its tipping point. Either way, I will be making a leisurely (read: frantic) stroll to Wal-Mart (the only place I've seen MMs by me) Tuesday morning before work, fully prepared for either:
a) complete disappointment
b) complete chaos
c) complete little kid punched in face
