The Dark Knight Action Figure SCOOP

I just bought at 12 dollar TDK action figure with evidence at Wal-mart man it was super detailed and awesome. My brother loves it sad thing is it has a rubber cape. Other than that They are doing a greta job with the toys. It was the Batman figure just to let youknow.

can some one tell me what the chase figs are? cus i'm pretty sure i saw a wayne fig that i almost bought at toys r us today. please, or a link.

I believe unmasked batman is the chase. Then there are those 5 different gotham thugs.

Stopped by Target today and they had the basic assortment. After examining all the pricing labels, I learned they had no Movie Masters at all. The things sold out were marked as "4-inch 2 pack" ($9.99), which I had no knowledge of.

It's a four pack of basic figures consisting of the TDK Batman, the Begins Batman, the Begins Scarecrow, and a purple coated variant Joker.

Its def the unmasked batman one per shipment if you're lucky.

I have extra deluxe joker's if someone wants to trade me some TDK viral swag-if found a rare box where there just as many jokers as batman's but only 1 goon. Anyhow so I will be willing to trade. Mine cost 11.99 at our expensive Wal-Mart

3 questions.....

1. What characters are they supposed to release for series 2 and 3 in the basic line?

2. What characters are coming out in the Movie Masters series?

3. When is the movie masters Scarecrow figure coming out?

DARK KNIGHT TOYS 4 SALE I REPEAT DARK KNIGHT TOYS 4 SALE

Okkkay bless my mother, she went out and bought what she THOUGHT were the Movie Masters figures...they weren't.

I have Destructo Case Joker, Batman in all black movie based suit with weapon of some sort, and Scarecrow.

It's simple I shall sell them OR preferrably trade them for Movie Masters figures...whhhhich I don't think anyone would want to do? If perhaps there is someone out there who prefers the 5-inch figures can I do a trade? Anyone?....

Thanks!

Hey there Womanwholaughed...do you have a Movie Master Joker? I wouldn't mind gettting one, can't find him at all, it's really annoying LoL!

I honestly dont care for this. Im more partial to the DCD one.

I was looking forward to the DCD Joker at first, then I saw an actual pic of it and became less impressed. The clothes seem ill fitting and when you factor in the usual loose wrist pegs on their 13" figures it was a bust for me.

While the Hot Toys Joker doesn't look like Ledger, to me anyway, it does look like the movie Joker "character." Plus, with the superior Hot Toys construction and accessories I believe it is the better purchase. It seems to be the reason DC is not allowing them sold directly in the U.S. (we have to go to international secondary sources), people would buy this figure in lieu of the DCD version, IMO.

Do we Know if Takara are making a TDK sixth scale, or are they planning just to re-issue the Begins one, in which case Ill stick to the Begins one which still looks better than the new Hot toys Batman.

I can't believe Wal-Mart is charging 12 bucks for the movie master figs. I got all of mine at TRU a day before they were supposed to come out for 9.

yeah, i'm afraid i don't have anything to trade, but am def looking to pick up a MM joker figure, if anyone can get the goods. in the meantime, i'll keep looking in vain..(i was so counting on target!)

What in the hell?!? Mattel are kinda stupid if this is the case..they've got 2 more waves coming out and they are rehashing figures already? What about other characters like Gordon, Ra's Al, Ducard, Two-Face??

I'm happy about the Batman Begins Batman suited figure and Scarecrow not doubt about it, but what goes on here now...I mean really!

:brucebat:

I'm happy we are getting a Begins Batman at least. That makes sense. But yeah they should definitely do third act Ra's and Two Face to make this series really mean something.

These are nice figures, but the lack of accessories is very disappointing considering how much extra you pay. I'd rather have some better accessories instead of the evidence stuff.

The Indy figures suck because there are no other choices. If you want an Indy figure, you have to get a small piece of crap that looks nothing like the character. The entire line is aimed towards children.

Still no stupid dumbass ******o armor missile launching boxing glove BS.

The Dark Knight toys on the other hand have two totally seperate lines, one aimed towards children, and one aimed towards us. The basics are fine for kids. They sold out at the TRU I worked in in about 2 days, to kids. Kids LOVE that kind of stuff. And as I said, when you were a kid, so did you. It's ridiculous looking back on them, but it's the truth. Sometimes you WANTED a Batman with neon orange accessories cause it fit god knows what kind of crazy s**t you were playing with them.

Same logic with Indiana Jones just without the neon orange mongo crap.

The MM's are aimed towards us, and are really fine. Ok, I agree, they could have had more accessories, but I do love the evidence bags, specifically the recreation of the card from the end of Begins with the Joker. I think Batman should have came with a little batarang for it's instead of the mask, but oh well.

I think they should find a better solution or halfway meeting for this series. DCSH for the money are much better deals and are some of the best and most accurate DC character figures we've ever gotten.

The movie masters are also much harder to find, and they could have a better variety of characters.

I don't get why they can't make something that's acceptable for both kids and collectors.

That basic version of Joker is 100 times worse than anything in the Indiana Jones line.

Yes...becasue the Joker has never used an oversized boxing glove before. Oh wait, yes he has. Just like every other character who was around in the Silver Age did at some point (I'm looking at you Green Lantern and Green Arrow). Just because you don't like it doesnt mean it's bad.

I couldn't wait so i was reduced to ebay *sigh*

I've scoured half the state looking for that MM Joker. Six Wal-Marts, the only TRU in mid-state, Two comic book stores, a Border's (By that point, I was really desperate), and a Spencer's.

Nothing. Nada. Not even a Gotham City Thug with a Joker bank robbery mask. (Now I'm just being picky, I know. :o)

Finally, I gave up and settled on one of those cheap WSS posters from FYE. Definitely recommended, for those who want some great imagery on their wall for half the price, and admittedly a fourth of the size.

i checked out wal-mart here yesterday and they still hadn't gotten anything in, ive got to make my way to a toys r us and hopefully theyll have the MM figures in

i've batman and thug in a few stores. no joker though.

bought one on ebay for $36. yeah, a bit much, but i figure they are hard to find, and in case i DO find one in stores, i can sell it for double that. may as well buy it now before prices go up too much.
