Some questions:

How exactly does Batman tie all the police up at the end. I've seen it twice but can't work it out.

Was Batman in on Gordon's plan to his fake death or not?
He takes the rope and slips it into each guy's carabiner or around their foot or somewhere while he's beating them up. Multitasking. :yay:

I've thought about your second question for a long time on my own, and I actually don't believe he was. It does show how far Gordon was willing to go that time, since he actually trusts Batman more than he does his own cops in the MCU.

It's not a huge thing, but at the end scene with the ferries, I find it strange that Joker reads the instructions from a piece of paper. You see on the window reflection, anyone notice?
It contradicts what he says about not being a guy with a plan, that's for sure. :cwink: I think it's to make clear that he's a manipulator, and he goes out with the goal of manipulating people as much as possible.

Heh I loved this part. It shows you that the Joker actually took the time to write it all out. Imagine a scene where he's sitting at a desk, with a pen and paper writing out the speech:

"And to finish it off...what's another word for honorable?" Joker consults a thesaurus. "Ahh, noble! Excellent. All done!" :funny:

LOL. That would be pretty funny. I could imagen him writing it with his tongue sticking out where he's concentrating so much.

LOL :woot:

Joker writing intensely, tongue sticking out:

"It's "I" before "E" except after "C" you idiot!" Smacks himself in the head. "Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!" :hehe:

He uses the same bloody pencil from earlier..though that would mean he had to go back and actually try and get it

When Batman's on the roof listening to his ear, is he tapping into cellphones? Is that bat-sonar?

I've been looking for a thread about the batcave in TDK and haven't found one that answers my question. Where is batmans temp/batcave located in TDK? Obviously its in Gotham, I just don't remember any kind of reference to it in BB or TDK. Is it in some basement floor under his penthouse? I'm referring to the fund raiser for Dent where his slips through the secret panel and come back at batman minutes later. Thanks

It is under a junkyard area near the docks.Under a giant metal container.

In his penthouse he has a panic room where he can also change.

The dark knight's editor said that the standard version and the imax versions are almost identical but there is one shot in both that is different. For those who saw TDK in both IMAX and theaters do you remember anything different? Is the HIT ME! shot the same as the one in the teatrical cut or is joker angrier after he gets out of the truck?

I never noticed this; where exactly is he reading from a piece of paper?

Sorry, I mean at what point is he reading.
When he says "At midnight, I blow you all up" after Bats gives Gordon the Joker's location. His reflection is in the window with the phone on his shoulder to his ear and reading off the notepad.

I think when he says, "At midnight, I blow you both up" and you can see him reading from a note, while watching the ferries in the background from the window. The camera's panning across him and it only lasts about a second.

oh I was cracking up the first time I saw it. I kept thinking, this ultimate villain writes down his plans on a notepad.
