I've seen the film but I have to ask a few simple questions about plot points because I can't remember everything so clearly:

How did Harvey Dent/Two Face get out of the Hospital again? I thought he was strapped down or in too much in pain to move.

When Batman tackled Two Face at the end of the film and they both went over the edge of the building, was Two Face's fall an accident? It almost seemed like Batman killed him

How did the Joker get a fake obituary for the Mayor in the Gotham Times? Did he have someone write an article or something?

I forgot if Jim Gordon was on the Joker's list after he got Loeb and the Judge. Is this why Gordon faked his death? To get the focus on Harvey until they set up the scheme to capture the Joker?

I realize a lot of these questions are probably dumb and have easy answers I either forgot or didn't catch, but I had a hard time following so much on the screen at once. One of the many reasons I have to see the film again.

I think it was implied that he left on his own.

What we saw was Batman tackle him, then the camera showed batman holding on with Gordons son holding on to him..who knows..

How did the Joker get a fake obituary for the Mayor in the Gotham Times? Did he have someone write an article or something?
It wasnt an obituary, it was just an article

He wasnt, but he knew he would end up on it so I think they set up the death way before it got to him

The Gordon
faking death
made perfect sense to me. It was a great reference to a common element in crime-drama or noir flicks. Someone is threatened by the mob so he does what gordon does for his own protection and that of his loved ones. It happens all the time in crime-dramas and I'm glad they employed it in this one. A crowd of applause when he
reappeared in the street showdown

Joker: Cmon just give me one more minute.lol

Thanks for the answers. Like I said, some of those questions, (i.e. Gordon especially), I couldn't remember all of the plot points going around and all the threats being made etc. I still wonder about the hospital and Batman at the end though.

No, I definitely saw the word "obituary" on the section title. He probably reprinted it or something.

What we saw was Batman tackle him, then the camera showed batman holding on with Gordons son holding on to him..who knows..
Batman leaped at him before he could do the coin toss for Gordon's son. He had just been shot straight on, so he wasn't at his best physically, so he did what he could. I don't believe he did it with the intent of killing Harvey - he just felt he had to do something to save the boy.

Not really a question about the movie itself but... [blackout]Did anyone else forget that Lau was on top of the money pile when the Joker set it on fire? The poor guy probably burned alive and I totally forgot about him...[/blackout]

Yep, i didn't remember he was on top of that fire until about 10 hours after i watched the film and was thinking about it again.
Love that Joker!

Yah that's what happened to me... I was thinking about the movie this morning and then I was like, "hey, wait a minute..."

You just know it's going to be film you can watch over and over and over again.

How could there be an obituary printed when the Mayor was alive and well, willing to give a speech at Loeb's funeral the next day or so for the public? I'm confused. Was it the press writing a very pessimistic article or did the Joker somehow print a whole section in the times? I'm very confused.

Well, he only needed one copy, to leave at the scene. So he probably reprinted it himself.

Will have to watch again. :oldrazz:

I am not 100% sure but I thought gordon said that the Joker printed/ made a fake paper.

Reprint/fake makes sense. An obituary for a live Mayor fits Joker's style.

What about the Dent leaving the Hospital mystery? First, was he strapped down? Or was he just in pain so much he couldn't sit up straight. I remember him struggling to get up in rage but he couldn't. And after the scene where he talks with the Joker, the last thing I remember was Joker leaving the room,
washing his hands - :yay:, and then immediately blowing up the place as he walked out the door. My memory is terrible, I really need to see this again.

no I made sure to read the paper closely, it was an article on the mayor, not about his death.

It is an obituary. The Joker must have made a fake article.

How did Harvey Dent/Two Face get out of the Hospital again? I thought he was strapped down or in too much in pain to move.

The joker untied him.

When Batman tackled Two Face at the end of the film and they both went over the edge of the building, was Two Face's fall an accident? It almost seemed like Batman killed him

Pretty sure it was an accident.

How did the Joker get a fake obituary for the Mayor in the Gotham Times? Did he have someone write an article or something?

You can pay people to print stuff like that, pretty easily.

I forgot if Jim Gordon was on the Joker's list after he got Loeb and the Judge. Is this why Gordon faked his death? To get the focus on Harvey until they set up the scheme to capture the Joker?

Well, that and it means the Joker would stop trying to kill Gordon and move on.

This actually reminds me of the mayor saying that the press, along with cops and the mob, could be paid off when he had that conversation with Dent in the office.

And yeah that's what I meant with the Gordon thing. The big Dark Knight plot synopsis that was just posted in another thread is helpful too with this stuff.

this is directed at Anita18 - i did nt not want to pm you as i dont know you on a personal level but ive read your posts throughout these blogs and trust your judgement -
i just saw dk last night - stunning!!!you know what i dont know how to hide the spoiler question i have so i will pm you in just a minute.

So I already saw the movie but I have a question that's been bugging me
Who were the 5 people Dent killed? Batman said he would take the blame for the 5 people that were killed, but I can't for the life of me figure out who they are! I know there's the guy in the bar, Malone and the driver, but who are the other 2?
Thanks!

I hear you guys talk about them toning this movie down by holding back on some of the murders and such, but how gruesome or creepy is this movie still? Did it still leave you uncomfortable when the J man took care of business, or was it like, " Man they would have had a better effect had they shown more."
