WTF is maroni doin in a club listening to acid trip music??? lol

Does anyone have an idea as to what Rachel was about to say before she poped her cloggs?

"Harvey? Okay. Harvey, it's okay. It's alright. Listen, some ass in a costume decided not to rescue me just because I wouldn't be his boo. So, it's not your fault. I'm not blaming you at all. ARE YOU HEARING THIS, BRUCE!? Oh, I'm sorry... 'Batman'. Did I just let your secret out? Well, considering that I'm going to be burned to a crisp any second now, I don't care. :cmad: HOW 'BOUT THEM APPLES!?"

Like many boyfriends, they have to go place that their girlfriends want to go to keep them happy.

I don't think Maroni is in the business of making his "girlfriend" (more likely one of many mistresses) happy :oldrazz:

Perhaps they thought bouncers just wouldn't let a guy in a bat suit get in..?

—Name?
—What, are you dense..?

Well if I have a favorite that looks good, and I want some tonight. I am willing to listen to some loud music to get me laid.

well shes starting to say "Some-"

so i assume its something like "someone will get you/us"

She was going to say:

"-Some hang on to "used-to-be"
Live their lives locking behind
All we have is here and now
All our lives, out there to find

The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb steps every day

Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry, on a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world we know
Up where the clear winds blow

Time goes by
No time to cry
Life?s you and I, alive, baby

Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry, on a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world we know
Up where the clear winds blow"

Say I'm doin' you wrong, doin' you wrong
Well, don't you worry baby
Don't worry
Cause I'm right here baby, right here, right here, right here at home

Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun

I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I sure don't want to hurt no one

Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun

I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I get my lovin on the run

That I ever did see
I really love your peaches
Want to shake your tree
Lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey all the time

Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover

^^ Or maybe it was....

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Moroni doesn't have that problem man. His girlfriends are happy or he would slap them to no end.

there were a couple of things (im slow!) i still don't fully understand:
1. Why did the joker rob the mob banks in the first place? in order to be taken seriously by them or to draw attention to the laundering?

2. Did joker ever really want to kill batman? i think no and he was tricking the mob, though he changed his mnid about unmasking him

3. Did the joker ever want to kill harvey dent? at the party? during the truck scene? the way he referes to harvey as his "ace in the hole" suggetss it was his plan to turn him the whole time, but he did use several rocket launhers on him!!

otherwise, fine fine film

Why, when they were trying to ID him, was the Joker allowed to keep his make-up on while he was incarcerated? Shouldn't they have taken mug shots of him with his make-up on and then without?

Beacause that would suck.:cwink:

1. i think he stole the money to get the mobs attention and maybe he just needed some extra funds for his "grand plan"
2. i think his original intentions were to kill Batman, but once he realized how much fun he could have with him he decided not to.
3. i also think he originally intended to kill him, but he decided that merely killing Harvey wouldn't weaken Gothams spirit enough. So he decided to "bring Harvey down to our level" to really destroy the last bit of hope Gotham had. As for the rocket launcher? I think he just wanted to disable the armoured van so he could capture him.

And welcome to the hype!!!!

I'd like to put in my 2 cents too, :hehe:

1. I think he was just trying to grab their attention, yeah.
2. I actually thought he did, especially in the climax when he beating and stabbing him repeatedly. Maybe get Batman to just kill him at least, hmm. Like when he was shooting at Batman on the Batpod he was trying to stir him up to take him out, maybe it was more of the same in the end.
3. I think maybe his original plan was to kill him to ruin all hope for Gotham, then when he realized he didn't have to, he could just push him over the edge, it'd be more effective that way perhaps.

yea good points JaD. thinking about it now i agree with you on no.2. i think Joker wanted Batman to kill him, thats why he was shooting at innocents driving down the street.

thanks for your repsonses. two toher quick observations:

1. the joker is always seen in relation to a character he is trying to use/influence. there is never a scene of the joker siiting alone in his base, confiding his plan in a henchman etc. Whather it is telling the mob what they want to hear, telling dent what he (half) wants to hear, trying to maniupulate batman or furthering his own myth (rachel, gambol scar stories) he is, in pretty muich every one of his scene, the devil on the shoulder of another character, telling each of them contridictory things. dont know what to make of it, but its certainly intersting, and goes hand in hand with his being a force of nature.

2. the jokers plans always reuslt in win win situations for himself. ie if neither ferry blows up, he blows them both and people stay scared; if harvey dent kills him in the hospital, the place doesnt blow up but every finds out the truth about dent, if batman kills him in the cell he is discredited and the joker wins, otherwise he gets lau and burns the money.

both points kind of suggest that this interpretation of the joker doesnt have a long term pla (the "i believe in harvey dent too" campagn made me think he would) but prsetns games for the heroes, not really caring which outcome comes to pass.
